Emmerdale’s Beth Cordingly shares ‘annoying’ reality of working with Will Ash
The actress joked about having to compete with her on-screen husband

Emmerdale’s Beth Cordingly joked how “annoying” working with co-star Will Ash is as she shared a funny video documenting her tanning journey.
The actress is currently best known for her role as Ruby Miligan in the ITV soap. She joined last year to play the wife of Caleb Miligan (Will Ash), and has been involved in some of Emmerdale’s biggest storylines this year.
She’s recently been nominated for two awards at the British Soap Awards 2025 for Best Leading Performer and Best Partnership for her on-screen relationship with actor Will Ash.
Reflecting on her nominations, Beth shared: “I’m up against legends, Kelly Bright, Lacey Turner, Eden, they’ve all been in the shows for years!
“When I saw that they were in the short list I did feel incredibly honoured, yes.”
Ruby and Caleb have been dealing with their fair share of drama lately in the village ever since the d.e.a.t.h of Anthony Fox. It was revealed that Ruby was the one who k.i.l.l.e.d him after memories of his abuse resurfaced.
Caleb promised to keep her crime concealed, especially as he’d just learned that Anthony was Steph’s biological father – a secret that was only confirmed recently via DNA test.

Taking to her Instagram, Beth posted a video with the caption: “Things you have to do when you are partnered at work with that annoying William Ash bloke… This is not an ad. I paid for it and everything.”
In the video with her hair in a towel, she said: “Hi, so the Miligans haven’t been on set for a bit, which means that I haven’t seen G (Georgia Jay) and Will Ash for a little bit.
“But, it’s been sunny and Will Ash has been gardening, the thing about Will Ash and the sun, is he only has to look after it and he’s really tanned. So, I’m not gonna compete with that, I’m just slapping on the old St Tropez.”
Beth’s on-screen daughter Georgia Jay was quick to respond as the actress commented: “Miligan Tuesday tan contest!”
Will Ash’s character Caleb has had a busy few weeks in Emmerdale, as he found out that Joe Tate had orchestrated his stabbing all to steal his kidney from him.
In recent events, however, Caleb agreed to keep it quiet as Joe threatened to go to the police about Anthony’s disappearance.
