Jeff Hordley, who plays Cain Dingle has spoken out about his future on Emmerdale amid the devastating Valentine’s Day in the Dales.

Emmerdale’s devastating limousine crash storyline began on Friday night. Although fans aren’t yet sure which vehicle veered off into the icy lake, they do not that one won’t survive, while another will be trapped under the ice.

The cast and crew are remaining tight-lipped until the big reveal next week, although James Hooton, who plays the role of Sam Dingle ‘teased’ the outcome – revealing in an interview: “When I first read these scenes, I was really pleased to be a part of it. Sam is quite often there for the light relief so when the atmosphere goes dark it’s good to have that release of someone lighter and more comedic on hand.”

Caleb and Cain

Caleb recently learnt about Cain’s ‘affair’ with his wife Ruby

He then teased: “The way they got the limo to sink into the ice was amazing and some of the action as it goes down is truly distressing. I would not want to be stuck under that ice. Or was I?”

Previously, Jeff Hordley who plays Cain Dingle revealed he was ‘worried all the time’ about his future on the soap.

The star expressed his concern, recently telling The Sun: “I’m worried all the time! Not all the time, that’s a little bit over the top.

“Every time there’s news of this it can unsettle us as a cast because we know the shelf life of characters is not forever in soaps, and it’s down to the producers or the writers to steer the ship and take us in the direction they want to take us.”
