Emmerdale’s Caleb finds unexpected ally in war to defeat Joe Tate
Caleb Miligan (William Ash) found a new ally in tonight’s Emmerdale as his suspicions about Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) grew.
Caleb is right to be suspicious of his relative, given that Joe orchestrated a stabbing to steal Caleb’s kidney – a totally normal way of getting a transplant.
Joe was very nearly caught out in recent scenes after leaving his jacket at Caleb’s after a dinner party and later realising that he’d left his medication in the pocket.
He managed to retrieve the coat before anyone went digging inside, but eagle-eyed Caleb grew suspicious when he spotted Joe stuffing pills back in his pocket.
When he later received some bad news about the person responsible for his stabbing having fled the country, Caleb headed to the Woolpack and confided in cousin Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins).
As he told her his woes, he revealed that Joe had been helpful, which left Charity bristling.
After Caleb pushed her to explain, Charity admitted that she suspected Joe had spiked Noah Dingle (Jack Downham), who was left hospitalised earlier this year.
This peaked Caleb’s interest, and he later came up with a plan to lure Noah in and grill him on his brother.
Having deliberately broken a light fixture, Caleb called Noah in to fix it, and casually asked about his relationship with Joe.
Soon, the conversation turned to how Noah had seen Joe in hospital after being spiked, though he put it down to halllucinating.
However, Caleb wasn’t convinced.
Could he be onto Joe and his sinister acts, and could he rope Charity in to help bring him down?
