Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) discovered her brother John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) has been hiding a huge secret about someone from his past in tonight’s Emmerdale.
With John and Aaron Dingle’s (Danny Miller) wedding planning now underway, Vic has been wondering who her brother would invite to their stag do. When Vic first met John, he was attending his mum’s funeral and made it clear family wasn’t really his thing.
Aware he spent a huge portion of his life in the army, Vic decided to contact one of his old squad mates. It was an opportunity to invite him to the stag, and also learn more about John from someone else’s view.
In The Hide, Vic got talking to Connor and quickly, topic of conversation turned to a man called Aidan Moore.
Vic knew about Aidan because she had discovered his dog tags among John’s belongings, and learnt her brother was close to him while in the army.
When she mentioned Aidan’s d.e.a.t.h though, Connor corrected Vic and confirmed that the man was never k.i.l.l.e.d.
Taken aback, Vic made her way to the hospital hoping to see Aidan. However, she wasn’t expecting to see him in such a bad way.
At the Mill Cottage flat, Victoria confronted her brother and wondered why he had lied.
John went on to confirm that Aidan is currently in a vegetative state after having his brain starved of oxygen. This means he cannot do anything that requires conscious intention, and the chance of him doing so ever again is slim.
Unaware that her brother was responsible for Nate Robinson’s d.e.a.t.h, amid a list of other crimes, Vic felt sorry for John and wondered if opening up to Aaron might be a good idea.
John asked Vic to keep the truth about Aidan from Aaron, adamant him discovering his secret wouldn’t be wise.
But will Vic agree, or go behind her brother’s back?
