Emmerdale’s Lisa Riley ‘lets slip’ limo crash detail – and fans will be gutted
Emmerdale star Lisa Riley has opened up about the impact of the limo crash on the village and the characters as they reel from the disaster in the aftermath
Emmerdale’s Lisa Riley has potentially revealed a major plot twist following the soap’s recent limo crash cliffhanger. Last Friday (February 14), viewers were left on edge as 17 characters embarked on an evening out, split between two limousines, both of which met with disaster—one ending up precariously on a frozen lake.
Caleb Miligan was at the wheel of one vehicle carrying Mackenzie Boyd, Sam Dingle, Bear Wolf, Matty Barton, Cain Dingle, Paddy Dingle, and Mandy Dingle, while Charity Dingle drove the second limo with Kerry Wyatt, Amy Wyatt, Tracy Metcalfe, Vanessa Woodfield, Suzy Merton, Chas Dingle, Leyla Harding, and Liam Cavanagh.
Lisa, who portrays Mandy Dingle, appeared on Good Morning Britain this Monday (February 17) to tease the upcoming episode. “We are on tenterhooks. So, we know that someone will lose their life, we don’t know who. Could it be Mandy? ” Charlotte Hawkins inquired during the interview.
“I can’t tell you it’s not Mandy, but what’s been so interesting this weekend, Charlotte, is that everywhere I go, people are saying, ‘Can I see your hand? ‘ because they’ve seen the ice, the knocking, and obviously Mandy’s got a wedding ring on. Am I under the ice? Have I survived the actual impact of the crash?” Lisa responded, adding, “I just love the way everyone’s so invested in who might be d.e.a.d, and is Paddy and Mandy one of the people that are gonna lose their life? “.
The actor teased during an interview, “You said one person, there might be more,” leaving Charlotte visibly shocked as she exclaimed, “Oh, it could be more than one? We’ll have to wait.”, reports Leeds Live.

Adding to the speculation, co-host Richard Madeley cheekily remarked, “I would be very surprised if it was you, because if it was you, I doubt that you’d be sitting here this morning. You’d probably be sitting with your lawyer, negotiating contracts.”
Lisa hastened to clarify, reassuringly pointing out, “I still have my set,” while Richard Madeley inferred from her presence, “I’m going to assume that you’ve floated to the surface alive.”
Despite her longstanding role on the show, approaching a tenure of 30 years, Lisa candidly revealed that certainty is a luxury even for veterans like her, admitting “you’re in the hands of the executive producers”.

She drew attention to the evolving landscape of soap storytelling, emphasizing that “Because of the current climate, you’ve got to keep up with the brilliant storylines. That’s why you have something so impactful, like the two limousine tonight, where all weekend on social media, everyone’s talking about it.
The dramatic premise of the upcoming episode is poised to unravel more twists, with a source close to Emmerdale teasing fans further: “As some of the passengers start to come around, they take in their situation. Panic becomes horror as they witness their heavy vehicle is stranded on a creaking frozen lake. But which limo is in danger? ” Tonight’s Emmerdale promises to reveal more about the fates entwined in both crashes.
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 at 7.30pm and available to stream from 7am on ITVX
