Emmerdale’s Sam Dingle ‘to cheat on Lydia in shock village affair’ – but viewers are livid
Emmerdale fans are convinced that Sam Dingle is set to have an affair on the ITV soap
Emmerdale viewers are speculating that Sam Dingle is on the brink of a surprise romantic entanglement in the village.
Sam (James Hooton) has been a staple on the soap since 1995 – and it’s fair to say he’s played a part in several big storylines. From serving time in prison to his marriage to Lydia (Karen Blick), Sam’s time in the Dales has not been short of drama.
But now, fans are predicting an affair is on the cards for Sam and fellow legend Kim Tate (Claire King). Kim, portrayed by Claire King, has been a fixture in the popular soap since 1989.
Kim’s love life has also made headlines, from her scandalous affair and subsequent marriage to Frank Tate (Norman Bowler), to her recent dalliance with Will Taylor (Dean Andrews).
Following Will’s demise, Kim has immersed herself in work, but viewers are now predicting another romantic chapter for the iconic character, reports Leicestershire Live.
Recently in the Dales, Kim landed in trouble when a work call distracted her, leading to her leaving her gun within reach of her grandson Thomas.
Gabby (Rosie Bentham), Thomas’ mother, was livid when she discovered him playing with the gun box. In her anger, she informed Kim that they were moving out to live at Wishing Well with her boyfriend Vinny (Bradley Johnson) and the Dingles.
However, tensions arose between Gabby and Sam Dingle at their new home. Sam then visited Home Farm to speak with Kim, where he falsely claimed that Gabby might be relocating to Leeds, causing Kim to worry.
In a bid to stop Gabby and her little one from departing, Kim made a generous offer to Gabby, allowing her to live in Dale View on the house. Gabby couldn’t believe her luck and jumped at the chance, buzzing to embark on this new chapter with Vinny.
But it wasn’t long before Kim caught on that Sam had been deceiving her. Pushing that aside, she actually admired his gumption.
This has fans buzzing on an Emmerdale Facebook group about the possibility of Kim and Sam – who’s hitched to Lydia Dingle – having an affair that would rock the village.
Discussing the series, one viewer said: “Anyone else pick up on a vibe between Kim and Sam…” While another speculated: “How long until they sleep together then.”
A third echoed the sentiment: “I thought the same.” And yet another fan was quite vocal, stating: “I will be so upset if he cheats on Lydia! No Sam just no.”
