Emmerdale’s Tom King returns with a sinister twist as Belle Dingle faces danger

Emmerdale's Tom King is set to make a chilling return to the village in upcoming scenes as his estranged wife Belle Dingle could be in danger

Emmerdale’s notorious Tom King, portrayed by James Chase, is poised to make a dramatic comeback to the village, putting his estranged wife Belle Dingle in potential danger. The character has been laying low since Belle, played by Eden Taylor-Draper, exposed the abuse she had suffered at his hands to Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins).

Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) was livid when he discovered his sister Belle’s plight but held back from physically confronting Tom, although he made it clear that he was aware of his actions.

Since then, Tom has kept a low profile to evade the Dingles and Belle hasn’t seen or heard from him. However, as regular viewers of the ITV soap will know, Tom pledged to stay in Belle’s life permanently, so she isn’t oblivious to his eventual return.

In the meantime, Amelia Spencer, played by Daisy Campbell, has embarked on a relationship with Tom, disregarding all warnings about his dangerous nature and secretly meeting him.

In forthcoming scenes, Belle receives a call from her landlady, Kim Tate (Claire King), who informs her that Belle’s house has been left in disarray, reports the Daily Star.

Belle has been residing at Wishing Well with Sam (James Hooton) and Lydia (Karen Blick) recently because even though Tom has officially vacated Dale Head, he kept turning up and Belle knew she wasn’t safe. Belle and Lydia return to Dale Head to investigate why Kim was concerned, only to find the place in a state of chaos.

In the midst of all the commotion, Belle finds a screw on the floor and is shocked to discover it’s a tiny camera. This startling revelation uncovers that Tom had been secretly watching her in the house. Belle shares her feelings with Lydia who encourages her to take the evidence to the police.

The two discuss the frightening situation, with Lydia hoping she has said enough to convince Belle to seek help from the authorities.

Meanwhile, Amelia appears to have had a change of heart about her new love interest Tom, sparking hope when she sets up a private meeting with Belle to talk about him.

But can Amelia be trusted in this situation or has she also succumbed to Tom’s charm? Alone at the Dingles, Belle nervously waits for Amelia but is terrified when Tom lets himself in, blocks her way out and locks the doors.

Will help reach Belle before it’s too late?

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX
