Explosive Secrets Unravel in Emmerdale – John Sugden’s Plan Leaves Tracy in Shock

Emmerdale's John Sugden could be heading for prison a lot sooner than expected, according to soap fans

Emmerdale fans are speculating that John Sugden might “turn himself in” for the m.u.r.d.e.r of Nate Robinson.

The Dales has been filled with lots of drama recently, following the discovery of a body in the lake, later identified as Nate (Jurell Carter) by the police.

Fans will recall that the villainous John (Oliver Farnworth) was responsible for Nate’s d.e.a.t.h, which occurred shortly after last year’s barn fire.

In a flashback scene, John was seen injecting Nate with an unknown substance, supposedly to “save” him, but tragically, Nate had a fatal reaction to the drug.

John then covertly transported Nate’s body to a bridge and dumped it into the lake where the infamous limo crash occurred in February, reports Belfast Live.

Following the recent unearthing of Nate’s body, two prime suspects have quickly emerged.

Initially, detectives suspected Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley), who had a row with his son on his last day in the village.

However, the suspicion has now shifted to Nate’s wife, Tracy (Amy Walsh), after John planted Nate’s phone in her daughter Frankie’s (Eden Ratcliffe-Knights) playhouse.

Matters escalated when Tracy was arrested on suspicion of m.u.r.d.e.r on Thursday (June 12), after her sister, Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick), failed to provide an alibi for her on the night Nate d.i.e.d.

In Friday’s episode (June 13), John paid a visit to Tracy at Tug Ghyll after she was released pending further investigation.

“John, I’m being set up,” Tracy said, to which John swiftly responded: “I know… I’m a pretty good judge of character.”

“I’ve got to get to the bottom of this. Otherwise, the police are gonna charge me for m.u.r.d.e.r. I can feel it coming,” a worried Tracy added.

John later encountered concern from his family about his decision to visit Tracy, with his sister, Victoria (Isabel Hodgins), cautioning him to “be careful”.

Emmerdale fans believe John might hand himself in to the police

Emmerdale fans are now speculating that John could confess to his actions.

Some eagle-eyed viewers believe that his facial expressions show guilt after he framed Tracy, with many suggesting he might hand himself in to the police in upcoming scenes.

“After tonight’s episode, we can see John struggling with the blame placed on Tracy and he feels guilt for her and Cain. Do you think the guilt will be too much to bare and either Aaron will start to notice his demeanour and night terrors and put the pieces together himself or John outright confesses to Aaron what he has done?” a Reddit user speculated.

Another suggested: “He is on some kind of messed up journey to make things right,” while a third said: “I think he could actually hand himself in, though it won’t be very satisfying that way.”

A fourth fan weighed in, saying: “I didn’t think the expression was guilt as much as fear he would be caught out. He knows what he’s doing is bad but he sees it as necessary and that fear of being caught outweighs any guilt he feels.”

Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 at 7.30pm and is available to stream from 7am on ITVX
