Jessie Elland is known to millions of Emmerdale fans as Chloe Harris
A former Emmerdale star has celebrated a major career milestone a year after leaving the ITV soap.
Jessie Elland is known to millions of Emmerdale fans as Chloe Harris is embarking on an exciting career move away from acting. As we’ve previously reported, Jessie is celebrating the release of her first novel.
Her book The Ladie Upstairs is set to hit shelves in 2025. As part of the release, Jessie did a reading which she posted about on Instagram.
She said: “I signed my first ever book, did my first ever reading, and met some of the most inspiring and supportive people.” In a previous interview with Jessie, she told us all about her book.
She said: “It is a gothic thriller, horror adjacent, about a servant who works in this grand mysterious supernatural house. It is about her relationship with the lady upstairs and how that develops and grows into something twisted.”
Jessie added: “I really enjoyed writing it. I’ve always been a big reader and writing is something that I’ve always wanted to do so it was fun just to write for me. To think it is going to be out in the world and people are going to get to read it and maybe enjoy it is a really, really special feeling.”
