House of Payne Sneak Peek: Laura Threatens to Walk Out—Again

Things are heating up on House of Payne, and BET just dropped a sneak peek that has fans buzzing. In the latest clip, Laura is seen packing her bags—again—and telling Calvin that she’s ready to leave. But this time, she’s doing more than just walking out. She’s finally addressing what fans have been saying for weeks.

Laura and Calvin’s relationship has always been complicated, but many viewers have never been able to fully root for Laura. Why? Because when she found out that her boyfriend Calvin was the ex-husband of her friend and co-worker Miranda—after Miranda had spent months venting about him to her—she didn’t walk away. Instead, she stuck around, despite the red flags and awkward family dynamics.

And it only got messier from there.

In one of the most awkward moments in the series, Laura dumped Calvin in front of his own parents, then popped up in the very next episode at the Payne household for advice from Ella. The same Ella whose son she had just broken up with. The optics weren’t great—and neither was the message.

In this new clip, Laura makes it clear she didn’t intend to steal Miranda’s life. She insists that when she and Calvin started dating, neither of them knew about the Miranda connection. But Calvin pushes back with a point many fans have been echoing: the Paines have had years to build a bond with Miranda. She’s family to them—and that kind of closeness doesn’t vanish just because there’s a new woman in Calvin’s life.

Case in point: Laura’s jealousy during the school’s mother-son dance, when Calvin Jr. chose Miranda over her. While Laura wants to be a part of Calvin’s world, she’s often frustrated that she can’t match the deep-rooted relationships Miranda has, especially with the kids. But let’s be real—Miranda changed that boy’s diapers. That history can’t be replaced overnight.

As the clip ends, Calvin begs Laura to stay until he returns from taking Junior to practice. She’s clearly torn, but her words sting: “I don’t know what there is left to say.”

Now, spoiler alert—according to upcoming episode synopses, Laura isn’t going anywhere. But honestly, should she? At this point, maybe it’s time Laura walked away with some dignity. Whether or not fans want Miranda back in Calvin’s life, one thing is clear: Calvin is still emotionally entangled with his ex.

Let us know what you think. Should Laura leave for good? Is Calvin being fair—or just stringing her along? Drop your thoughts below, and don’t forget to like and subscribe for more House of Payne updates.
