Emmerdale star Danny Miller could count on his soap star pals for support at his biggest fundraiser of the year for his Manchester-based bereavement charity Once Upon A Smile.

ITV stars crossed the Dales to head to Manchester on Saturday night for Danny’s annual Grand Ball 2025 which he hailed “possibly the best to date” after a packed night of all-star entertainment.

Famous faces joined around 600 guests at Emirates Old Trafford for the event which has now become an eagerly-anticipated fixture of the fundraising calendar here on Danny’s home turf.

Danny was joined by Emmerdale co-stars past and present, including Jeff Hordley and wife Zoe Henry, Oliver Farnworth with his TV star partner Samantha Womack, as well as the ITV soap’s Katie Hill, Rosie Bentham, Beth Cordingley, Mackenzie Boyd and Daisy Campbell.

Former Emmerdale and Strictly champ Kelvin Fletcher had a night off from his new life on the farm, with a glamorous date night with wife Liz at the extravaganza, while newlywed Emmerdale star Isabel Hodgins headed to the ball fresh from her gorgeous Manchester wedding with husband Adam Whitehead.

Entertainment was provided by a host of singing stars including Britain’s Got Talent’s viral performer Max Fox, America’s Got Talent’s Alfie Andrew, Katrina of Katrina and the Waves, the Princes of Motown and S Club 7’s Jo and Jon.

And even Danny got involved showing off his vocals when he jumped on stage to belt out Sweet Caroline alongside Emmerdale’s Bradley Johnson (who plays Vinny Dingle) and his band The Trilogies.

Danny was joined by wife Stephanie, who is expecting their third child, at the ball. He told the MEN: “We had an incredible night last night for The Grand Ball 2025 – possibly the best to date! So many people came together to celebrate a charity that’s growing every day and really making a difference to families during bereavement.

“We hope we’ve raised a lot of money to be able to continue to do this for those families that do need us and may need us in the future. My amazing friends at Emmerdale turned out in abundance to support me and Once Upon A Smile last night and can’t wait to share the final figure with everyone as soon as we can.”

Danny added: “We had a star studded packed out entertainment roster this year, it was non stop entertainment all night and the guests were gobsmacked at how much we had going on. Easily my favourite ball to date.”
