EMMERDALE fans have been left shocked as a star revealed their surprise return.
Viewers of the long-running ITV soap are gearing up for the character’s return after she confirmed the new on social media.
Lisa Riley appears to have leaked that Paula Lane is back filming in the Yorkshire Dales.
The Mandy Dingle star took to Instagram to share a snap with her pal Paula as they filmed on set.
She said: “DOUBLE TROUBLE at the @emmerdale village today.”
Paula – who previously played Kylie Platt in Coronation Street – made her Emmerdale debut earlier this year as Ella Forster.
Months after her arrival it was finally revealed she was hiding the fact she was using a false name after killing a childhood friend when she was just 11.
However, Ella vanished from screens and Emmerdale fans assumed she had departed for good.
Reacting to her seemingly imminent return, one fan said: “Lisa are you allowed to do this as we all think Paula has left the village, spoiler Alerts xx.”
A second wrote: “Glad to see your still in the show.”
“Glad to see you’re coming back to the village,” said a third.
While a fourth commented: “Oh is she coming back?”
Emmerdale airs on ITV1 and ITVX.
