ITV Emmerdale Aidan Moore’s parents ‘exposed’ in shock John Sugden DNA twist

Emmerdale fans believe they have “uncovered” Aidan Moore’s real parents, and it spells trouble for John Sugden.

Following his arrival to the village in August 2024, John was introduced as Victoria Sugden’s half-sibling through their shared father, Jack Sugden.

Suspicion was soon raised when Victoria found dog tags with the name “Aidan Moore” etched on them, igniting curiosity about John’s past.

John said that Aidan was a fellow soldier from his days in Afghanistan, and expressed deep remorse for Aidan’s tragic d.e.a.t.h that occurred during their time at a military base.

“I could see the fear in his eyes, I held his hand as he slowly slipped away,” John recounted, visibly tortured by the memory, reports Leicestershire Live.

However, it turns out Aidan didn’t d.ie – instead, he’s been in a coma at Hotten General, with John regularly visiting him.

Kathleen, Aidan’s mother, has also been at her son’s side after bumping into John in the hospital corridors.

John’s family discovered his secret when Victoria bumped into one of her brother’s former military buddies ahead of John and Aaron’s stag do. This led John to begrudgingly admit that he and Aidan were once engaged.

Speculation surrounding Aidan’s true identity has recently been rife, with several viewers questioning John’s side of events.

Some people believe that Aidan could secretly be the real John Sugden, while others have shared a new theory regarding Aidan’s parentage.

Jack Sudgen had an affair with Karen Moore back in 1984

Back in 1984, Jack Sugden was embroiled in an affair with auctioneer’s assistant Karen Moore, who later found herself romantically entangled with Jack’s brother, Joe.

Despite his infidelity, Jack’s wife Pat chose to forgive him, though she always viewed Karen as a potential threat to their marriage. Karen eventually left Beckindale for good in 1986.

Upon noticing that both Karen and Aidan share the same surname, a number of Emmerdale viewers have taken to X (previously known as Twitter) to speculate on a possible family link.

One fan pondered: “Wait, in 1984, Jack Sugden had an affair with Karen Moore. What is Aidan’s last name? ALSO MOORE. What if Aidan is Karen and Jack’s son?”

Another chimed in: “Definitely think that Aidan Moore is pretending to be John Sugden, but that’s not all… We know back in the 80’s Jack had an affair with someone called Karen Moore who was also romantically involved with Joe, so could John and Aidan actually be brothers/cousins?”
