In an unexpected twist in Thursday’s episode, Emmerdale seemed to bid farewell to one character.
Ella Forster arrived in the village last year and quickly sparked a romance with Liam Cavanagh. However, her dark past was soon unveiled when it was revealed she had k.i.l.l.e.d her best friend, Joanne, as a child.
This shocking revelation led to the termination of her relationship with Liam, but they reconciled when Ella found out she was pregnant. Tragically, Ella discovered she’d experienced a silent miscarriage, and the couple split again when Liam harshly accused her of faking the pregnancy.
Recently, Liam chose to start a relationship with Chas Dingle after his love triangle involving the barmaid and Ella. Earlier this month, Ella unintentionally crashed their engagement party at the pub, and when Chas collapsed from being spiked, all fingers pointed at Ella despite her insistence of innocence, reports Leeds Live.

Tensions escalated in the village earlier this week when Chas and Liam grew increasingly worried as Ella began bombarding them with messages and phone calls.
The situation took a more alarming turn when Belle Dingle received an email cancelling Liam and Chas’ wedding, suggesting that Ella was escalating her harassment campaign.
In a shocking twist, Liam had to call the cops after one of the pub’s windows got smashed. He and Chas were d.e.a.d sure Ella was the culprit, not knowing she was actually watching them, totally baffled by what was going on…
Ella rocked up at her bestie Mandy Dingle’s gaff on Thursday, desperate for a chat with Liam. When Mandy wouldn’t let her in, Ella lost it and took Mandy hostage, leaving Liam no choice but to get involved.

A frantic Ella tried to convince Liam she’d been stitched up, while he played along, pretending they could patch things up to get her to spill the beans. But when Ella clocked Liam’s game, she grabbed a knife in a tense showdown.
Chas and Mandy turned up just in time, sending Ella on the run with Liam hot on her heels. It all kicked off in the woods where Ella shoved Liam, causing him to take a nasty fall and whack his head.
Ella was beside herself, thinking she’d done Liam in, but luckily he came round.
The local doc told Ella straight – she needed help and couldn’t keep legging it. In a proper heart-to-heart, Ella confessed she was ‘so tired of running’ and couldn’t go on like this.
As the coppers slapped the cuffs on Ella, she dropped a massive clanger about Chas’ spiking, pleading: “I know I’ve hurt you and Chas but I never drugged her, I swear, please believe me!”

The telly drama climaxed with Ella being tossed into a cell as Chas dashed back to Liam, bursting with relief that Ella was locked away. But Liam’s face told a different story – is he having second thoughts about whether Ella really drugged Chas?
Earlier this year, Paula Lane, who plays Ella, dropped some major hints about waving goodbye to the village. Her Spotlight CV let slip that her stint on Emmerdale would come to an end in February 2025.
Her profile read: “Currently appearing as series regular Ella in Emmerdale ITV filming until February 2025.”
