ITV Emmerdale exit ‘confirmed’ for Nicky Miligan as furious row ends in vicious attack

Tempers flared up in Mill Cottage this Thursday in Emmerdale as Nicky Miligan went head to head with both of his parents Ruby and Caleb and the confrontation left someone hurt.

Nicky Miligan is due for an explosive exit with boyfriend Suni Sharma and Emmerdale seems to have finally revealed what will be pushing him out of the eponymous village.

The hunk portrayed by Lewis Cope was first introduced to ITV viewers in 2022, when he joined his father Caleb (played by Will Ash) in a scheme to take over Home Farm and the Tate family fortune as the illegitimate son and grandson of Frank Tate.

While he agreed to seduce Gabby Thomas for the plan to work, Nicky, a gay man, was eventually unable to marry her and embarked on a long redemption journey as he decided to stop helping his father in his plot.

Father and son have been on tenterhooks again in recent scenes of the Yorkshire-based program after Nicky’s mother, Ruby Fox-Miligan deliberately mowed over Ethan Anderson with her car, supposedly leading the solicitor to die in shocking scenes.

Nicky was happy to see his mother (Beth Cordingly) had agreed to turn herself in to the authorities and tell a grief-stricken Charles Anderson the truth about his son’s untimely death.

However, this Thursday, just as she was about to come clean, Ruby discovered that Ethan had actually died of an aneurysm, much like his grandfather Victor Anderson before him, meaning she wasn’t responsible for his death.

Ruby returned to Mill Cottage. sharing the news with Caleb who was against her plan to go to the police, where she was eventually confronted by Nicky.

Despite learning the truth, Nicky was disappointed that his mother wasn’t keen to do the right thing and when Caleb urged him to stop berating her, he took his anger out on the schemer.

The confrontation turned into a full-on brawl as Nicky, not willing to wait for his father to strike him again, threw the first punch before walking out of the family home to join his boyfriend Suni – a hint the pair will be leaving soon.

Viewers were left with stunned by the violent scenes and swarmed over to X, otherwise known as Twitter. “Nicky punching Caleb when I tell you I cheered NOW they gave him good stuff when he’s about to leave”, one of them wrote.

Another quipped: “No wonder Nicky is leaving”, while a third agreed: “I don’t blame Nicky for wanting to leave that village and his horrible parents.”

One viewer sympathised with Nicky: “I don’t blame Nicky for being angry, she still knocked Ethan over with intent to kill!!” A fifth added: “good to see that Nicky has had enough of his parents.”

In upcoming scenes, the conflict will be weighing heavy on Nicky’s mind as he is due to confide in Suni (Brahmdeo Shannon Ramana) about the ongoing tensions within his family.

Keen to free himself from his parents’ influence, Nicky will suggest to Suni that they should move away together but with the latter having reconnected with his family, notably half-brother Jai, last year, the possibility of him joining his other half could be low. Is heartbreak on the cards?
