Emmerdale fans believe they’ve worked out an affair twist for Kim Tate, and it’s with someone totally unexpected.

Kim (Claire King) has had a distressing few months following the sudden d.e.a.t.h of her husband Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) over the festive period, an event triggered by the reappearance of Joe Tate (Ned Porteous).

Joe returned to the village with a plan to bring Kim down, after she attempted to m.u.r.d.e.r him six years prior.

Initially, Kim was open to having Joe back in her life, but later became suspicious, leading her to plant a listening device in his room.

When this tactic failed to uncover any incriminating evidence on her former step-grandson, Kim recruited her friend Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) to act as a spy, all the while making Joe believe that she fully trusted him, reports Belfast Live.

It appears that Kim and Joe have now put their differences aside, following the revelation of Joe’s plot to steal a kidney from his uncle, Caleb Milligan (William Ash).

Six months on from Will’s d.e.a.t.h, several Emmerdale viewers are speculating that Kim will embark on a new romance with an unexpected villager.

Many predict that the soap icon will start a fling with Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle), following his recent separation from his wife, Dawn (Olivia Bromley).

Long-time viewers will recall that Dawn began an affair with Joe earlier this year.

Determined to start a new life with the villain, Dawn ended things with a devastated Billy, who later discovered about the affair from his daughter, Clemmie Reed (Mabel Addison).

After discovering Dawn’s lingering feelings for Joe, despite his blackmail of Clemmie, Billy threatened to take the children away. But could he unexpectedly find comfort in the arms of Kim?

“Anyone else thinking a little fling for Kim and Billy would brighten the mood in the Dales?” one person wrote on a Facebook fan page.

Another added: “Could you imagine Dawn’s face if they have a fling, that would be awesome,” while a third said: “Oh god yes please.”

A fourth fan echoed the sentiment, saying: “I was thinking that today. Maybe if Billy gets with Kim, it’ll make Dawn want to try and repair their marriage.”

Meanwhile, another viewer shared their reservations: “Not Kim and Billy. She needs someone on her level like a boss, someone who will make fireworks with her. Billy needs someone to settle down with,” with someone else sharing: “Noo Billy needs someone like Belle.”
