ITV Emmerdale legend’s off-screen d.e.a.t.h ‘sealed’ after emotional exit
Emmerdale fans are convinced that Brenda Walker won't be returning to the village in a sinister twist
Emmerdale fans are convinced that Brenda Walker will face an off-screen d.e.a.t.h after her recent exit.
Over the last few weeks, the ITV soap has been building up to Brenda’s departure, following the news that actor Lesley Dunlop would be leaving after 17 years.
It was recently revealed that Brenda had won a three-month cruise around the world in a magazine competition.
Brenda initially chose not to go, as she didn’t want to leave her ex-partner Eric Pollard alone in the village. However, after much persuasion, she then decided to take the trip of a lifetime with her former stepdaughter Cathy Hope.
The pair bid farewell to the Dales last week, with Kerry Wyatt, Nicola King and Bob Hope waving them goodbye as they left in a taxi.
“I’ll see you all really soon,” Brenda said before Eric arrived to bid her farewell.
“I don’t [do goodbyes]. This is just au revoir,” Eric emotionally said, with the pair sharing a parting kiss.
During Monday’s episode (April 7), Eric felt lonely after Brenda’s departure and expressed his fears that she won’t be returning to the Dales.
“How’s things at your place?” Bob asked, with Eric bluntly replying: “Place? It is like a morgue with no Brenda.”
Tracy Robinson chimed in: “Well, three months will fly by,” as Bob and Eric looked on in disagreement.
Now, Emmerdale fans are convinced that Brenda will face a shocking d.e.a.t.h while aboard the cruise, with many taking to social media to share their theories.
“I have a theory that Brenda won’t come back from the cruise. Either goes missing, falls overboard or d.i.e.s,” one person wrote on a Facebook fan page.
“I was thinking that because of how touching her leaving was,” another added, while a third said: “I hope not as it will really affect Cathy as that will be another loved one d.e.a.d while she was there.”
Meanwhile, other viewers believe that Brenda will instead choose to live with her granddaughter Molly in Canada after the cruise ends.
“I think she will stay in Canada with her granddaughter as she said she was going to visit them,” one person noted, with another confidently stating: “She will go to live in Canada.”
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 at 7.30pm and is available to stream from 7am on ITVX
