Emmerdale star Jurell Carter has teased a huge return on the ITV soap.

Nate Robinson is currently reeling following the revelation that his wife Tracy has been sleeping with his uncle Caleb Miligan. It all came out on Tom and Belle’s wedding day, when Ruby let slip that Caleb and Tracy had been having an affair.

Now knowing the truth, Nate has been adamant he wants to get back at Caleb and has been busy making plans to hit his uncle where it hurts, by stealing from his business. Jurell believes there’s no chance back for Nate and Tracy, but he is hopeful that one character will make a huge return to the Dales as Nate continues to struggle with his wife’s infidelity.

Asked whether his mum Cara could make a return, he said: “Carryl Thomas, who played Cara, was amazing – not only as an actor but also as a person. Everyone warmed to her on set and I’d love to see her back.

“Who knows what will happen, but I feel her character has a lot of legs in terms of where she could go with storylines and who she could be linked up with. Even with Cara and Nate as a mother and son duo, I think that’d be really nice to see.

“Carryl was only in for a couple of months and then she revisited the role for a few eps. I wanted to see more of her a few years ago, so I’d definitely love her back again and I think everyone on set would too.”

Jurell also admitted it was “bittersweet” seeing the romance end between Tracy and Nate, with Jurell telling Digital Spy that the pair’s split happened quite fast. He also admitted it was “sad” he wouldn’t be working closely with actress Amy Walsh again.

Tracy star Amy previously opened up about the emotional scenes, which saw Tracy decide to split from Nate. She said: “Tracy would rather be a single mum than be with someone who isn’t making her fully happy. It eventually comes out in Tug Ghyll, their home, and it’s a really brutal, raw conversation. Those scenes were amazingly written. I read them and cried. I was like, ‘This is heartbreaking.'”
