ITV Emmerdale return ‘sealed’ as Nate Robinson’s family tipped to arrive in the village
Emmerdale viewers have been left asking the same question about Nate in the aftermath of his tragic d.e.a.t.h.
Emmerdale fans are speculating a comeback from Nate Robinson’s formidable mother following his shocking d.e.a.t.h, and his m.u.r.d.e.r.e.r, John Sugden, is likely to be far from pleased.
Recent episodes of the ITV soap have seen detectives probing into the m.u.r.d.e.r of Nate (Jurell Carter), who vanished mysteriously on the day he was set to relocate to Shetland for a new job opportunity.
Sadly, Nate met his end at the hands of paramedic John (Oliver Farnworth) in September, with his body later concealed and discarded in a lake.
The police have begun questioning potential suspects, including John, Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley), and Tracy Robinson (Amy Walsh), but no formal arrests have been made as yet.
In a twist on Wednesday (June 11), investigators discovered Nate’s mobile in the back garden of his estranged wife Tracy, who was also interrogated about the use of his credit card posthumously, reports Belfast Live.
Since the confirmation of Nate’s body by the police and identification through dental records, there has been silence regarding his mother, Cara Robinson (Carryl Thomas), fuelling speculation of her return to the village.
The businesswoman first graced the screen in January 2020 when she accidentally hit drunken farmer Moira (Natalie J Robb).
She expressed disgust that her son, Nate, had wreaked havoc on Moira in his revenge plot against his estranged father, Cain, confessing that Cain was unaware of Nate’s existence.
Cara initially tried to persuade Nate to leave the village, but when that didn’t work out, she made a surprise return. Despite meeting his new flame, Tracy, and showing her disapproval, Cara’s attempts to convince Nate to exit the village were in vain.
However, in October 2020, Cara swooped back into Emmerdale in an effort to prevent Nate from confessing to a hit and run — a sacrifice he was ready to make to protect his aunt Belle Dingle (played by Eden Taylor-Draper). Tracy dragged Cara back to sort things out, yet she departed again shortly thereafter.
It has been half a decade since Cara bid farewell to the village, and with current dramatic events unfolding around Nate’s alleged demise, fans of the show have been speculating whether Cara might make another dramatic entrance.
On Facebook, speculation is rife amongst the viewers. One posted: “Shouldn’t Nate’s mum be informed of his d.e.a.t.h I’m surprised no one has called her.”
Another echoed similar concerns about the lack of contact: “Thought same for ages why had no one contacted her to find him??”
Joining the conversation, a third fan suggested: “You would think the police would have gone to her to tell her.”
Commentators on X have also been adding their thoughts, with one saying: “You’re telling me Nate’s mum hasn’t come to the village after finding out the news #emmerdale.”
While another pondered the peculiar lack of action from Cara, proposing: “From what I remember, Nate’s mum is still alive so why wouldn’t she of reported him missing when she hadn’t heard from him at all wonder if John took that into consideration #Emmerdale.”
Emmerdale airs weekdays on ITV and ITVX
