Emmerdale Marlon Dingle is hiding a dark secret about daughter April Windsor’s disappearance as the teen continues to be missing.
Emmerdale viewers were left speechless after Marlon Dingle’s dark secret was uncovered – and it has a strong link to daughter April Windsor’s disappearance.
As viewers know the teen ran away from the village and is yet to be found. During Wednesday’s episode of the ITV hit soap, police officer Anna discovered that April has a secret social media account.
They went on to watch a video of April drunk while getting ready to go to a party and as expected Marlon was devastated and shocked at how April was behaving.
Things took a shocking turn as it then emerged that she had suspected her dad was having an affair with Laurel.
Marlon insisted that he wasn’t having an affair with Laurel and asked Anna to not tell Rhona about the affair concerns.
He headed straight to see Laurel and warned her that the police knew about their exchange. Laurel was horrified at first but was then relieved to discover that Rhona was still in the dark. She wasn’t happy when she found out that Marlon let the police look through his phone.
The pair began to go back and forth as Laurel said: “OK, you’re under a lot of pressure, I get it. But April hasn’t run away because of some texts. Please Marlon. If this gets out I could lose everything.”
A furious Marlon was quick to argue that they might not be able to keep their secret any longer they may need to use it to bring them a step closer to finding April. Marlon hit out: “I want my daughter home, Laurel. Whatever the cost.”
Viewers watching at home were quick to share their reaction to the shocking news. One fan took to X, formerly known as Twitter and said: “Laurel? Wait what? #emmerdale.” Another wrote: “Laurel??? Is this storyline gonna make sense soon? #Emmerdale.” (sic)
A third commented: “An affair with Laurel? WTF #Emmerdale.” Another baffled fan questioned: “Hold on Marlon & Laurel??? #Emmerdale.” (sic)
