ITV Emmerdale fans finally find out who m.u.r.d.e.r.e.d Anthony
In tonight’s episode of Emmerdale, Aaron, Ruby and Caleb come clean about Anthony’s m.u.r.d.e.r – and we find out what really happened.
Viewers start the episode seeing Aaron feeling guilty over Anthony’s death and hyperventilating. Ruby, played by actress Beth Cordingly, meets Aaron who is in tears. Ruby says they are both victims of abuse by people who were meant look after them, and should look to future and not dwell on past.
He confesses to Ruby he k.i.l.l.e.d her dad – but says he left him alive. Ruby confesses to k.i.l.l.i.n.g Anthony. Ruby recounts k.i.l.l.i.n.g Anthony, and we see flashbacks at depot. She suffocated him with a rag after finding him injured after Aaron’s beating.
Caleb comes back home and Aaron says he knows he was ‘set up for m.u.r.d.e.r’. Caleb says Aaron should be thankful for him cleaning up and finding Anthony’s tooth. Aaron says will go to police but then Caleb and Ruby tell him about Steph being Anthony’s biological daughter.
It has taken weeks to get to the bottom of what happened to Anthony in an earlier predicted “abuse storyline”. Fans really rated the acting in Thursday night’s episode – and the script writing helped put across a “powerful message”.

Molly added: “Enjoyed today’s one hour episode. Beth Cordingly deserves all the awards.” Carla put: “Beth’s performance in tonight’s ep was absolutely outstanding.”
Krishnan said: “I really thought tonight’s #Emmerdale episode was brilliant with small issues in terms of reactions but I didn’t think that it would go this way so fast, but one thing that hasn’t changed is John still only has one facial expression.”
