ITV Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher ‘overwhelmed’ as family mark milestone moment
Former Emmerdale actor Kelvin Fletcher and his wife Liz Fletcher, have shared some exciting news
Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher was left feeling “overwhelmed” after his seven-month-old cow, Ray, stole the limelight and clinched the top prize at the Royal Cheshire Show, marking another significant milestone for the family farm.
The Fletcher clan, including wife Liz and their four young children – Marnie, Milo, and twins Mateusz and Maximus – were all present, working together and cheering each other on at the massive agricultural event.
Recently, the Fletchers have seen a surge in popularity, following in the footsteps of Jeremy Clarkson and Amanda and Clive Owen, by turning to television to give viewers a glimpse into the realities of life on their home farm.
Fletchers’ Family Farm has become a staple in ITV households, with many fans eagerly tuning in to watch the first-time farmers navigate through various challenges that arise along the way.
Typically, Kelvin and his wife Liz are seen on screen, joining forces to tackle farming dilemmas, but the recent Cheshire event marked a shift in dynamics as the entire family celebrated this milestone, reports Belfast Live.
The former Strictly Come Dancing champion demonstrated he still had the winning touch as he proudly paraded his young bull Ray, who bagged the Best In Class Award.
However, the day wasn’t without its share of drama as the famous couple had to get Ray checked over following his journey from their farm in the Peak District.
Liz quickly stepped in when Kelvin, while receiving his rosette, wrestled a bit with Ray who decided to have a nibble on the grass, causing a bit of a stir among the onlookers.
Chatting to The Manchester Evening News about the win, Kelvin revealed: “This was his first time showing, he’s only a bull calf and he lives with only five other cows so to come here today with so many cows, well it’s been a bit overwhelming – for both of us actually.”
He continued, saying: “It was very warm, so we had him checked out, but he was all clear and won best in class.”
In other news, excitement builds as Liz and Kelvin’s farm programme is set to return to our screens for a third series, promising even more unique insights into rural life.
A representative from the broadcasting company announced: “Fletchers’ Family Farm is officially returning to ITV for a third series. Filming is currently underway, and we at Daisybeck Studios couldn’t be more thrilled to be working with the wonderful Fletcher family once again.”
The spokesperson added: “We cannot wait to share more heartwarming stories, farm adventures, and family moments with you later this year. Trust us when we say there is much more to come.”
