Mack and Charity on Emmerdale

Lawrence Robb has teased a double return could be on its way in Mack and Charity’s latest storyline on Emmerdale.

Fans will remember Mack had to bid a farewell to his ex Chloe Harris and his son Reuben when Chloe decided to leave alongside her baby following the death of her father Harry. Now, Lawrence has opened up about a potential return for both Chloe and Reuben in the future, as he heaped praise on his former co-star.

Chloe was involved in some huge scenes during her love triangle storyline with Mack and Charity. In a car crash, as the vehicle teetered over the edge of the cliff, Mack chose to save his ex Charity and not the mother of his child, Chloe. It sparked a furious row between the pair, as Chloe couldn’t cope with the betrayal of her ex and she called her dad Harry to get her revenge.

However, Lawrence has teased Jessie could make a big return as Chloe one day, alongside their son Reuben.

“I was gutted when Jessie left – me and Jessie got on really well. I still speak to her quite a lot,” he told Digital Spy, “It was bittersweet, I guess, in many ways because whilst I really enjoyed working with her while we were on set, I know that she’s doing really well now.

“I know that she’s really enjoying doing what she’s doing now. So while it was sad on one level, I’m also very happy for her. There’s always scope and I think they left it deliberately open for Chloe and Reuben to potentially return. But at the moment I don’t know.”

When she exited the show back at Christmas, Jessie heaped praise on her colleagues. “I’ve had the best two years of my life playing Chloe and being a part of Emmerdale. Over those two years it never got any less surreal to walk through the stage door at studios or to be stood outside the Woolpack at the village,” she said.

“I feel so privileged to have been given this opportunity and to have been trusted with such wonderful storylines. I really got to tick off the soap bingo card; giving birth, discovering new family members, a big stunt, a soapy slap, and even a classic back of the taxi exit! All while working with, and learning from, incredibly talented people that I’d grown up watching on screen. I’m sure you’ve heard other cast members say that being in Emmerdale is like being part of a big family but it couldn’t be more true.”
