Speaking exclusively about the high-stakes episode, actor Will Ash shared behind-the-scenes details, including a key revelation that may hint at the ultimate fate of the limos:

“This incredible icy lake was made out of wax. It was a cold, frosty night, and you had this huge limousine sunk into it. When you walked on the wax, it felt like ice, and you worried you were going to fall in. Everyone was walking so carefully.”

He also revealed the lengths the production team went to in order to make the stunt as realistic and intense as possible:

“They had this massive crane to lower the limo into a hole they had made—it was spectacular!”

Director Vicky Thomas Reveals How the Stunt Was Filmed

Director Vicky Thomas provided even more details on the jaw-dropping sequence, revealing that they used three limousines for the shoot—one for the girls, one for the boys, and a spare limo specifically for the lake stunt.

“The limo that ended up on the lake was never actually driven anywhere,” she explained. “To make it all work, we had to take the engine out. We drilled holes in the bottom of the vehicle so the water would fill it quickly and sink it.”

For the first week of filming, the limo was positioned nose-down in the water. Then, in the second week, it was suspended from a massive crane, gradually lowering into a deep pit beneath the ice.
