ITV Emmerdale tonight spoilers as villager steps in after dark past revealed

A whodunnit mystery is gearing up in ITV Emmerdale as future scenes show a bloodied Anthony laid out on the floor after his dark past is revealed.

But a day makes all the difference as Anthony soon discovers. After becoming everyone’s friend and buying drinks at the Woolpack, Anthony wakes up at Laurel’s house with a hangover. Unknown that Laurel has invited the predator into her house, the pair chat about parenthood and Angelica’s tutoring.

Later Steph finds Anthony walking outside the café as he heads over to Nicola’s house for the tutor session. The pair are intercepted by Nicola who tells him that she is leaving Angelica alone with him as she covers for Brenda who called in sick for work.

However, Nicola is horrified and runs home to rescue her daughter after Chas admits to her about knowing his s.e.x.u.a.l abuse past. She sends Angelica to school and confronts Anthony about his past. The pair fight as Nicola tries to call Ruby to confirm the truth but is soon pinned down by Anthony and she screams for help. Luckily, Laurel arrives and sees what is happening and panics so she hit Anthony on the head and he falls to the floor.

The pair talk about what happened and Nicola tells Laurel that Anthony is a danger to children based on a ‘reliable source’ – aka Chas. Anthony soon wakes up with a head wound and threatens the pair that they should forget what they heard or he will call the police. He then walks out of the house and hides behind a car while Laurel and Nicola talk about the next steps to cover what they did.

Ruby then finds Anthony sitting on a bench and the pair talk about how his past is being brought up around the village, but as things get heated, Aaron walks up to the pair when he notices some tension. They reassure him that they are fine and Ruby walks off only for Anthony to collapse again in front of Leyla.

After reassuring Leyla that he is fine, Caleb finds Anthony and offers him a lift to the depo where Steph is expecting him – except his intensions are false as he pats the gun in his pocket. Now, Chas, Cain, Caleb, Nicola and Laurel know about Anthony’s past but who leaves him b.l.o.o.d.y on a concrete floor?
