Emmerdale’s Dean Andrews has updated fans following his dramatic exit from the hit ITV soap.
Over Christmas, soap watchers were left stunned when Will Taylor, played by Dean, was killed off in an explosive twist.
During the festive episodes, Joe Tate, portrayed by Ned Porteous, made a dramatic comeback to the popular ITV soap after a six-year absence. He was unveiled as the brains behind financial advisor Pete and Will’s plots against Kim Tate.
However, the drama escalated on Christmas Day when Will suffered a heart attack and died following a heated argument with his wife, Kim, as she learnt the truth.
Taking to Instagram following his soap exit, actor Dean, 61, revealed he was enjoying a sun-drenched getaway with his wife Helen.
Dean’s 39.3K followers were quick to respond to the post as one person said: “Enjoy wish you were still in emerdale but good luck for the future ,looks lovely ware you are xxx”, a different account wrote: “Enjoy, well deserved break”, another put: “Lucky you it’s flipping freezing here enjoy a rest and then get yourself back on tv you’ll be missed xx” while a different soap watcher joked: “Enjoy mate you deserve it after what Kim done to you!”
It comes as Dean confirmed his exit from Emmerdale last month after fans speculated his character could still be alive in a massive twist.
Taking to Instagram, the actor penned: “Just a quick message from me to thank you all and to quash any rumours regarding my character. Have a wonderful 2025 and hopefully see you on the other side!”
