Penny Branning (Kitty Castledine) continues her plot to bring down her dad Jack (Scott Maslen) in EastEnders next week.

Things have been frosty between the two since Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) confessed her role in the Peggy’s club crush, which was originally blamed on Penny.

To make matters worse, after Jack found out that the victims were healing from their injuries, he decided against forcing the real culprit to hand herself in -noting that the severity of Chelsea’s sentencing would be worse than Penny’s.

The Fox-Branning clan took a vote on what their next move would be, with Jack ultimately turning against his own daughter.

Since then, Penny has vowed to get revenge – despite keeping up a façade that she has made peace with his decision.

Working with boyfriend Harry Mitchell (Elijah Holloway), she told him to ‘rinse’ Jack for everything he has.

Luckily for Harry, he had his own dirt on the copper, having obtained a video of from Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall) of an earlier altercation they had.

Jack was gobsmacked to have the footage sent him, and even more so when it transpired the Mitchell newbie wanted his insider knowledge in exchange for his silence.

In upcoming scenes, Penny gets court summons and is understandably worried about the consequences that might follow.

Unfortunately, Jack is dismissive and it tips her over the edge. She decides to turn to Harry and asks him to turn the pressure up.

As the week goes on, he informs Jack that he’s got a job for him – to retrieve a stolen car – though the offer is instantly declined.

Harry reminds him that he has little choice in the matter given the incriminating video that could destroy his career, and he reluctantly agrees.

When the day arrives, he realises that it’s youngest daughter Amy’s (Ellie Dadd) physio appointment, and he narrowly makes it back in time to do the dodgy deal.

Little does he know, as he picks up the motor, Harry is watching from afar and is taking pictures of him as a further blackmail device. As Jack returns to the Square, he’s distracted by a text and accidentally damages the stolen vehicle.

Has Jack landed himself in more danger?
