Joe viciously attacked by child in Emmerdale as she unleashes her fury
There is a whole list of people who want to see Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) get badly hurt in Emmerdale and now the dodgy businessman even has a child enemy to watch out for.
The list of potential Joe k.i.l.l.e.r.s is ever increasing, with Caleb Miligan (William Ash) right at the top, but with a new name on the list, it’s little Clemmie (Mabel Addison) who is causing Joe to sleep with one eye open.
Billy (Jay Kontzle) has been clinging onto hope that he and Dawn can reconcile, but Dawn’s (Olivia Bromley) suggestion that he leaves Home Farm puts the nail in the coffin.
Once he’s gone, cocky Dawn and Joe enjoy the success of their plan with a snog, but they don’t realise they’re being watched.
Clemmie sees the whole thing, but they have no idea that it’s the reason she suddenly comes down ill to avoid going back to school.
Joe checks on Clemmie, but the youngster catches him off guard by revealing she knows their big, terrible secret. Now he has a problem on his hands, and he must find a way to shut her up.
He’s underestimated the kid, who’s about to become a very big thorn in his side. When he tries to stop her leaving, she bites him.
Joe attempts to buy Clemmie’s silence with a gift, but when he later finds her destroying it, he loses his cool. He threatens her that she’ll be sent back into care when he tells everyone about the bite and the terrified child agrees to keep quiet.
Billy later finds Clemmie in a state, and with a bit of prodding she confesses to biting Joe and all about his threat.
Billy is left fuming, but his mood gets even worse when Clemmie reveals the kiss.
A seething Billy tells Caleb what he just heard, and Caleb spots an opportunity to encourage Billy to get revenge. But will Billy bring down Joe first? Or will he get caught out by Clemmie?
