John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) proves he’s willing to do whatever it takes to get rid of Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) in Emmerdale next week, as he contemplates m.u.r.d.e.r.i.n.g his distant sibling.

John spies an opportunity when Robert is on a date at The Hide. When Robert’s back is turned, the date drugs Robert’s drink and John swoops in to intervene, but is he really prepared to go that far and k.i.l.l his brother?

Elsewhere next week, Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) makes a discovery about Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) when Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) puts his foot in it, and Tracy Shankley (Amy Walsh) stands her ground as Nate Robinson’s (Jurell Carter) funeral approaches.

Here’s all you need to know about what’s ahead in Emmerdale, week commencing June 23.

Assuming Cain knows, Jacob mentions Sarah’s IVF. Within seconds, Cain furiously grabs Jacob and threatens him over being more in the loop about his granddaughter’s life than he is. When Sarah arrives, Cain quickly regrets his angry reaction.

Later, Sarah admits to Jacob that Cain’s negative response to her baby plan has left her doubting herself. Jacob tries to reassure her, but is also given food for thought.

Also, Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) takes it upon herself to try and get Tracy to change her mind about Cain being banned from Nate’s (Jurell Carter) funeral. She tries to say that no-one knows the truth about what happened to Nate, but Tracy interprets this as Belle accusing her of his m.u.r.d.e.r. She reaches the conclusion that the entire Dingle family will be banned, and Cain takes the news hard.

Elsewhere, Robert feels guilty about Vic’s (Isabel Hodgins) black eye and decides to move out. He also loses his trial job at Caleb’s (William Ash) depot, and is furious to learn that it’s because John intervened. Outside, John argues with Robert and once he learns about Vic’s injury, becomes more determined than ever to get his brother out of the village.

Still watching his brother, John witnesses the date drug Robert’s drunk. He then intervenes and later, we see John driving off with Robert unconscious and in the back of his van.

Also in the village, Joe (Ned Porteous) finds out that his car has been keyed and he believes that Billy (Jay Kontzle) is responsible.

Belle speaks to Vanessa and asks her to persuade Tracy to invite the Dingles to the funeral. However, when Tracy tells her sister that the funeral is her last chance to make up for letting Nate down when he was alive, Vanessa can’t bring herself to discuss Belle’s request.

Unfortunately for Joe, his attempt to confront Billy at the depot ends terribly. When Sam then plants the idea that a replacement Graham Foster might help him get more respect, another plot starts to form.

Joe meets up with Shaun and tells him that he needs his help with teaching Billy a lesson.

Also, Jacob arrives to see Sarah and puts forward the idea of being her sperm donor, but will she accept the offer?

Charity’s left distraught after managing to break Sarah’s heart right before the op. As she anxiously waits alongside Cain for news, it isn’t long until a surgeon arrives with a worrying development – Sarah’s operation hasn’t gone to plan.

Elsewhere, Matty (Ash Palmisciano) feels grateful when Vic says she wants to help him mark Amy’s (Natalie Ann Jameson) birthday.
