KATHY Beale is set to romp with a new man and begin a passionate affair in upcoming EastEnders scenes.
The iconic character – played by Gillian Taylforth – saw husband Rocky (Brian Conley) sent to prison in 2023.
In scenes yet to air, Kathy has a new man and it’s a familiar face to viewers.
She and Harvey Monroe (Ross Boatman) are thrilled after spending the night together.
However, as usual in Albert Square, further complications are soon on the way.
Jean (Gillian Wright) – who is Harvey’s partner – offers to help Ruby (Louisa Lytton) plan Martin Fowler’s (James Bye) funeral.
Ruby dismisses Jean, but Kathy offers Jean some advice on how to handle her.
This helps, as Jean and Ruby ultimately come to a decision to work tgoether.
Jean later visits No.45 to thank Kathy, who is left feeling filled with guilt.
It is not the first time EastEnders teased a connection between Harvey and Kathy.
The pair previously had a brief romantic encounter and look set to explore this again.
Additionally, Harvey was best friends with Rocky during his time in the Square.
What will the future hold for Kathy and Harvey?
This new romance comes after an explosive time for Kathy.
Viewers discovered she attacked Cindy (Michelle Collins) at Christmas – with the identity at first a mystery.
Kathy hit former daughter-in-law over the head with a shovel – and left her for d.e.a.d – due to how she’d been treating Ian (Adam Woodyatt).
During the soap’s 40th Anniversary, she was present when Cindy accidentally shot Ian in the arm.
Kathy got more than she bargained for after becoming trapped with her rival in the Vic.
Viewers watched as Kathy got both of them to safety – with the soap icons living to see another day.
