Kim Tate (Claire King) is absolutely not someone we would want to mess with in Emmerdale, but someone is set to cross her in upcoming scenes.
The journey to the aisle hasn’t exactly been a smooth one for Amy Wyatt and Matty Barton (Natalie Ann Jamieson and Ash Palmisciano), and things are set to get more complicated as the big day looms.
Both Amy and Matty can hardly contain their excitement as the day approaches, but little do they know that Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) is struggling to find the funds to pay for it.
She has high hopes that a second opinion on her necklace will help her to raise the cash, and she attempts to hide from wedding planner Suzy Merton (Martelle Edinborough) in order to buy herself some time.
Unfortunately, Suzy manages to track her down, and warns her that she has one last chance to pay for the wedding, or the whole thing will be cancelled.
The next day, Kerry hopes and prays that her necklace will earn her enough to pay for the wedding, while Suzy and Leyla Cavanagh (Roxy Shahidi) prepare Home Farm for the event, concerned that there is still no sign of Kerry’s payment.
As Matty and Amy arrive for the wedding rehearsal, they are totally oblivious to the problems going on behind the scenes – until Kim storms in.
It’s clear she isn’t happy as she demands payment for the venue, but elsewhere things aren’t looking good for Kerry.
Having earnt a pittance for her necklace, all looks lost, and she is forced to admit to Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell) that she can’t afford to pay for the wedding.
Kerry braces herself to admit the truth, and the mood of the wedding party comes crashing down when she drops the bombshell on the morning of the wedding.
Matty is blindsided by the news that the wedding is off, but his disappointment is soon turned around when Leyla receives a mystery phone call and announces that everything is back on.
The guests stand as Amy prepares to walk down the aisle, but will all go to plan?
Elsewhere, it isn’t just Kerry that Kim must deal with, as Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) refuses to take no for an answer when she shoots down his plans to work as a personal trainer.
Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) urges him to stand up to her, but will he be able to muster up the courage to cross the mighty Kim Tate?
