Major character d.i.e.s in Emmerdale – and shock person is relishing the v.i.o.l.e.n.c.e
Anthony Fox (Nicholas Day) has been k.i.l.l.e.d in Emmerdale – and it appears Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) was the person responsible.
Yesterday, Aaron discovered Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) had been s.e.x.u.a.l.l.y abused by her father Anthony. He near-enough worked this out as a result of recognising his own fear in Ruby’s reactions to what he had to say, as well as the way she behaved around her dad.
Reminding him of his own trauma, Aaron found Anthony at the depot and told him they’d be having a little chat.
Said conversation featured Aaron telling Anthony that he was s.e.x.u.a.l.l.y abused by his own father Gordon, who ended his life while in prison. Triggered by the past, Aaron wanted to make the evil man pay – but v.i.o.l.e.n.c.e wasn’t the approach at first.
Aaron said that it would be quite possible for him to m.u.r.d.e.r Anthony, but he has people who love him in the village and want him to stick around. Instead, he wanted to drive Anthony to the station where he would eventually confess to abusing Ruby.
Fearing for the future, Anthony tried to change Aaron’s approach by winding him up. His horrific comments about Ruby left Aaron in a state of anger and utter rage, leading to him brutally attacking the man.
Aaron then returned home, leaving Anthony in a b.l.o.o.d.i.e.d mess on the floor. His strange behaviour was picked up on by John (Oliver Farnworth), who also found b.l.o.o.d on Aaron’s neck.
After discovering what Aaron had done, John returned to the depot with him where they realised Anthony was dead.
With Aaron in a panic, John stepped up and said that he would sort everything. Whether John is hiding a dark secret or not remains to be seen, but his history of working in the army means his reaction to dealing with a dead body is far different than Aaron’s.
