Emmerdale’s Home Farm has become the scene of a tangled web of plot and counter-plot recently as Kim Tate’s (Claire King) and Will Taylor’s (Dean Andrews) marriage disintegrated following Will’s betrayal with Rose Jackson (Christine Tremarco).

They called off a threatened divorce in the wake of Kim’s relief that Ross Barton (Mike Parr) hadn’t actually killed Will when she asked him to get rid of her cheating husband from the village. But while it looks like the relationship is back on track, Will is secretly plotting with Kim’s former financial adviser and romantic fling, Peter (David Michaels), to take her down.

In upcoming episodes, while Will waits to get further details of the plot from Peter, he begins to feel seriously guilty as Kim throws her energy into making Christmas special for them as a sign that they’re having a fresh start.

Peter tells Will to suggest that they should renew their marriage vows in a romantic ceremony on Christmas Day, and he’s unnerved when Kim agrees to this idea and becomes quite emotional at the prospect.

When Will tells Kim that it would be a lovely romantic idea if the vow renewal was an intimate affair – basically just the two of them – she’s touched by the romantic gesture. But, having thought about it, Kim decides that this isn’t really what she wants.

So she asks Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) to come and she’s thrilled when Dawn accepts the invitation. Kim has really missed having Dawn, Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) and the kids at Home Farm and, seeing how positive Dawn is being, she invites her to move back in.

Dawn is touched, and things are looking up for the family when the hospital inform them that Evan is making good progress in his leukaemia treatment and can spend Christmas at home with his family.

While Dawn is picturing a family Christmas back at Home Farm, Billy has other ideas. Still angry with Will and Kim, he puts his foot down and refuses to contemplate the idea, leaving Dawn feeling torn.

Will is not best pleased to hear that Dawn and the kids might be moving back to Home Farm, knowing that having his daughter and grandchildren around might derail his plan to bring Kim down.

He hopes Dawn will change her mind and decide to stay at Holdgate with Billy, but Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) – the owner of Holdgate – has other ideas. He tells the family he needs them to move out of the house within the week.

Dawn has no option but to accept Kim’s offer – and Will is horrified when she turns up at Home Farm with her belongings, just as he’s about to set his plan in motion.

Will Dawn discover her dad’s ruthless plan for Kim?
