Marlon receives alarming health news as he’s rushed to hospital in Emmerdale
Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) has been pushing himself to the limit in his search for missing daughter April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) in Emmerdale, which had devastating consequences in recent scenes.
April went missing on Christmas Day, and fears have been mounting for her well-being, with the stress of her absence having a detrimental effect on Marlon’s health.
As weeks passed without any news on the missing teen, help from the villagers in searching for her began to diminish, and Marlon painfully accepted the possibility that she could be d.e.a.d.
However, he later discovered that April had been spotted on CCTV, which only spurred him on to work even harder to find her, ignoring his ailing health in the process.
The chef’s health took a turn for the worse in tonight’s episode as some of the villagers gathered in the pub to resume the search for the missing teen.
As the men planned for the search, Marlon ended up fainting, and the decision was made to take him to hospital.
He was eager to carry on with the search, but the doctor warned him that his blood pressure was too high, and he needed to rest to avoid having another stroke.
In a bid to encourage Marlon to take it easy, Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) put Ross Barton (Michael Parr) in charge of the search for April.
Though Marlon was unsure at first, Ross settled his doubts when he assured him that he was already following every lead and searching everywhere for April.
Satisfied that Ross could handle the job, he finally agreed to rest.
