‘Meena side is coming out!’ claim Emmerdale fans as they predict unlikely villager will become show’s next serial killer
Is Jai Sharma the next Meena Julta?
EMMERDALE fans predict one character will become the village’s new serial killer following in Meena Jutla’s footsteps.
Jai Sharma took brutal revenge on dad Rishi’s killer in last night’s dramatic episode.
The businessman – who is played by actor Chris Bisson in the ITV soap – found out about biological father Amit’s money scheming last night and wasted no time in confronting him.
Taking him to task in Rishi’s house, Jai made Amit talk him through everything that happened with his dad before his death.
And after enough pressure, Amit buckled and started verbally lashing out.
But as he got closer to threatening Jai, he underestimated his son and tried to goad him into backing down.
“You pushed him down these stairs and left him to die, didn’t you?” said Jai.
“You say Rishi was a good man but when I needed his help he turned his back on me,” snarled Amit before he confessed that he pushed Rishi.
“Finally,” said Jai. “Thank you.”
And with that he pushed Amit down the stairs himself, taking revenge for his dad.
But unlike Amit, Jai wasn’t going to let him die, instead he played him at his own game, throwing a bit of torture into the mix as he went along.
Standing on his injured ankle, Jai forced Amit into confessing everything about how he killed Rishi so he could inherit their uncle Ravi’s estate.
“I had bigger debts back in India, I needed that money,” he said.
“I told Rishi everything. I practically begged. I was desperate. And then he started lecturing me about my life choices.
“I pushed him. I was angry but I did not mean to kill him.”
Jai told him he didn’t believe a word of what he said and began mocking Amit when he claimed he wanted to make amends for what he did.
But before Jai could kill Amit, Eric Pollard arrived and begged him to stop.
Outside Jai revealed he had been secretly recording Amit’s confession in an effort to send him to prison.
But with Eric gone, Jai told Amit that he had another plan in mind.
“I did want you to be the one to do it, but then I had another thought and I’ll be honest with you, you’re probably going to like this even less,” he said.
Later Jai was seen cleaning blood from the stairs and hallway while telling Laurel on the phone he was still at work.
“Yeah, I have just popped back into work…no I have just got a few things I need to clear up,” Jai told his wife as he wiped blood from the skirting board.
“No, nothing major. Is there anything you want me to pick up on my way back? No problem, you know me I like to make myself useful.”
Before the credits rolled, Jai could be seen rolling a suitcase, but was Amit’s body in it?
Has he killed Amit? Or is he holding him captive somewhere else?
Fans are now convinced Jai will kill again and be the village’s next serial killer.
Taking to social media, one said: “That was a very good episode of #Emmerdale tonight seeing Amit finally confess to killing Rishi.
“I bet Jai has gone full on hostage mode and keeping Amit held down in the cellar or something like that.”
Another wrote: “Meena side coming out in Jai. I. LOVVVEEEEE. ITTTTT HAHAHA.”
A third penned: “Bit cold-blooded there mate. Next serial killer in the village? #Emmerdale.”
Meena caused havoc in the village as she killed Leanna Cavanagh, Andrea Tate, and Ben Tucker.
Her dramatic storyline came to an end in April 2022 as she was finally sentenced in court with actress Paige bidding farewell to the soap.
