Nicola confirms her exit in Emmerdale – and it’s thanks to vile Tom

Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) takes action in Emmerdale next week as her worries surrounding Tom King (James Chase) continue.

Up until recently, Nicola’s view of Tom was the same as Jimmy’s (Nick Miles). They both believed their nephew was the victim in Belle Dingle’s (Eden Taylor-Draper) manipulative tale, unaware it was very much the other way round.

Things started to change for Nicola when she picked up on her son Carl’s (Charlie Munro Joyce) change in behaviour.

Previously, Tom manipulated Carl into keeping quiet about his anger, but it’s resulted in Carl becoming fearful around his cousin.

Also, when Tom retrieved his tablet from the child who took it from him, he promptly smashed it thinking he was in the clear of the police investigation – without realising Carl was witness to his violence.

Coming up, Nicola tells Jimmy that she and the kids are going to move out of the house until Tom leaves. Given Jimmy’s loyalty towards Tom, this is bound to create problems within their relationship.

Also next week, Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) finds Tom outside the church. He claims he’s been attacked but when Laurel suggests going to hospital, he refuses – and suspiciously says no to ringing the police as well.

When Jimmy finds out, his concern for his nephew’s safety means any doubts he previously had are washed away.

After reassuring him of his support, Jimmy turns his attention to Sam Dingle (James Hooton) and reckons he attacked Tom.

But is he right?
