NOT MACK?! JOHN K.I.L.L.S AGAIN! JOHN TRAPS MOIRA! Emmerdale Viewers STUNNED by Evil Setup!
John Sugden once again sets a dangerous plan in motion—one that threatens the life of a fellow Emmerdale resident. But this time, he’s not looking to be hailed as a hero. Meanwhile, Mackenzie Boyd is still wandering the village, burdened by the aftermath of a sewage tank leak that contaminated the water supply. Claudette and Charles have fallen ill, and young Harry—Vic’s son—had to be hospitalized. Although Jon is the one responsible for the disaster, Mac blames himself and is completely heartbroken. Unaware of the truth, Mac believes he nearly k.i.l.l.e.d a child and destroyed Moira’s farm. In a moment of despair, he tells Aaron he can no longer be his best man, as he’s now the enemy of the entire village.
Sensing Aaron’s anger about Mac backing out, Jon sees another opportunity to manipulate the situation. He stages a fake accident at the farm—leaving Moira alone and hiding behind a haystack, listening to her cry out in pain. He then calls Mac and tells him to go to the farm. Hearing his sister’s screams, Mac rushes to help her. Jon then shows up and helps Mac administer first aid to Moira. The setup works perfectly: Mac is moved by Moira’s embrace during the “emergency,” turns to Jon with gratitude, and agrees to resume his role as best man. But in the final scene, Jon is haunted by a dark memory—when he threw Nate’s lifeless body into the river last year.
Meanwhile, Belle Dingle starts growing suspicious. Ever since Nate’s disappearance, things haven’t added up—the lies, the odd timelines, and Jon’s sudden rise as a “hero.” Belle quietly begins investigating, while Jon becomes increasingly paranoid as the wedding approaches. But the drama doesn’t stop there. Next week, a new character—Lewis Barton—arrives in the village, demanding answers about his mother Emma Barton’s d.e.a.t.h. This is a massive shock for Moira, who was the one responsible for Emma’s d.e.a.t.h back in 2017. Lewis, Emma’s secret son, is determined to uncover the truth—and Moira is the reason he never got to meet his birth mother.
Ross Barton finds himself in hot water again when he tries to steal cannabis plants grown by Lewis in a desperate attempt to save the farm from financial ruin. Ross and Mackenzie secretly plan to break into Lewis’s house while distracting him with a kayaking trip. But when Lewis receives an alert from his security app about an intruder, the plan falls apart. He quickly discovers that Mac was behind it. Ross is forced to come clean and begs for forgiveness. Lewis agrees to let it go—but only under one condition: Ross must tell him the truth about Emma’s d.e.a.t.h.
The truth is closer than ever. Lewis believes the Barton family is hiding something. Meanwhile, an even more explosive secret is about to surface—one Emmerdale resident is about to discover they have a half-sibling. Actor Bradley Riches, who plays Lewis, revealed that he is Emma Barton’s hidden son. Emma had given birth to Lewis while estranged from her husband, never telling her other sons—Ross, Pete, and Finn—about him.
Ross is stunned to learn he has another brother. He’s never met Lewis, and after losing so many family members, he’s built emotional walls to protect himself. But Lewis—innocent, kind, and bearing a resemblance to Finn—makes it hard for Ross to stay distant. As Lewis starts asking questions about Emma, both Moira and Ross are thrown into crisis. If he finds out Moira k.i.l.l.e.d his mother, will he be able to forgive? Will the truth be buried forever—or will it explode, bringing down both the Barton and Sugden families?
