Police Closing In – Moira Panics,Cain Suspects, Aaron Breaks – John’s Life FALLS APART !
The Emmerdale couple, John Sugden and Aaron Dingle, are preparing for their wedding — but a nervous Jon is suffering from disturbing pre-wedding nightmares. And who is to blame for his anxiety? Ever since moving to the village, Jon has been hiding two huge secrets: the accidental k.i.l.l.i.n.g of Nate Robinson and his complicated past with unconscious ex-partner Aiden Moore.
Although Mackenzie Boyd and others are getting suspicious about Aiden, Jon has mostly kept things under wraps — especially from Aaron and his sister Victoria Sugden. But now, Jon fears everything may come crashing down, as the lake where he dumped Nate’s body is about to be dredged.
As the wedding day approaches, Jon’s nightmares worsen. He envisions everything going wrong — from getting arrested to Aiden waking up and exposing him. Will he manage to keep his composure long enough to say “I do”?
Instead of preparing for his big day, Jon is overwhelmed by fear. Meanwhile, Moira Dingle watches uneasily as the dredging operation begins. After Cain Dingle tells him the work has started, Jon panics and secretly prepares to flee. When Aaron catches him trying to sneak away, Jon lies, claiming it’s just pre-wedding nerves. But as soon as Aaron leaves, Jon packs up and disappears.
Hiding by the lake, Jon gets a romantic message from Aaron. Just then, workers call off the dredging, and Jon breathes a sigh of relief. But peace doesn’t last. Kathleen — Aiden’s mother — appears and announces that Aiden has miraculously woken up and is asking for Jon. Now Jon’s plan to proceed with the wedding is thrown into turmoil.
As the big day nears, Jon is plagued by even more nightmares — including one where Aiden interrupts the ceremony and another where Aaron walks away at the altar, saying he doesn’t trust him. Jon wakes up in panic and goes to visit Aiden, with Aaron following behind, concerned.
The following day, Jon is still tormented by fear. Victoria, Belle, and Chas Dingle try to cover for the missing grooms at the Woolpack. Later, Jon tries to explain everything to Aaron, but Aaron remains unreadable. Eventually, it seems the wedding is back on when Aaron asks his father figure Paddy Kirk to be his best man in Mack’s absence.
Actor Oliver Farnworth, who plays Jon, revealed what’s going through Jon’s mind: “The week before the wedding, Jon is in serious danger. Aiden’s waking up changes everything. Jon had been confiding in him. But how much does Aiden remember?”
“We don’t know what Aiden might reveal — not just about recent events, but about what happened long ago,” Oliver added.
Jon also feels enormous guilt over the slurry spill that left his baby nephew fighting for his life. His misguided attempt to fix things poisoned the water and sent people to the hospital. Now, the dredging could uncover Nate’s body — the worst possible timing.
To make matters worse, Jon has been sleep-talking — another dangerous habit. “He’s scared to sleep because he might say something incriminating. He’s caught in a web of his own lies and is constantly putting out fires. He wants to be happy, but he’s in survival mode.”
Will Jon’s worst fears come true?
Emmerdale has teased a tense and emotional wedding week. After confirming that the body from February’s double limo crash was Nate’s, a flashback revealed Jon was responsible for his death and cover-up.
In a teaser clip, Victoria comforts a panicked Jon before the wedding. He tells her: “Marrying Aaron means the world to me. Nothing is going to ruin our happily ever after.” But as workers resume dredging the lake, Moira watches anxiously.
Once again, Jon tries to flee, only for Aaron to intercept him. Jon blames nerves, but as soon as Aaron steps out, Jon disappears. A touching text from Aaron pulls Jon back, and he decides to go through with the wedding — until Kathleen arrives with the shocking news about Aiden.
Meanwhile, Beth Cordingly (who plays Ruby Milligan) stunned fans recently with a bikini photo on Instagram, encouraging followers to live in the moment. “Get your legs out,” she joked. “Bring out your swimmers. You only have one wild and precious life.”
She added: “My daughter took this photo in Greece last summer. I told her: ‘Please take this so I can see it when I’m 100.’”
The photo showed Beth confidently perched on a balcony rail — and fans were both impressed and alarmed. “You’ve got amazing balance,” one said. Another commented, “Please get down, I’m scared for you, lol.”
Beth was praised not just for her beauty but also for her bold, inspiring message. Outside of Emmerdale, Beth has had a rich acting career, including roles in The Bill and EastEnders.
In Emmerdale, Ruby has faced countless challenges — from her husband Caleb’s betrayal to the trauma of her abusive father. In just a year, Ruby has become one of the show’s most compelling characters, and fans are eager to see what’s next for the Milligan family.
But for now, all eyes are on Jon and Aaron’s wedding. Will their special day end in joy — or disaster?
