An emotional Emmerdale spoiler video reveals the moment Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) prepares to remember his late mother Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi).
Trainee medic Jacob was on shift as the casualties from this week’s ice lake crash accident were brought in, though sadly there wasn’t good news about his mum.
He rushed to be by her side, and cradled her body, begging medics to act quickly and save her. Unfortunately, she had already d.i.e.d on route to Hotten General Hospital.
She was one of three locals to lose their lives after their limousine teetered on the edge of a frozen body of water.
As the news spread around, their nearest and dearest at the hospital and back at the village there were shocked and distraught reactions.
The legendary Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell) then delivered a poignant monologue, reflecting on the d.e.a.t.h.s of Leyla, Amy (Natalie Ann Jamieson) and Suzy (Martelle Edinborough).
We also know that more devastation is still to come – as another body – believed to be Nate Robinson (Jurrell Carter), was spotted by Amy beneath the surface.
As the spoiler video shows, next week’s scenes will see everyone come together to pay tribute.

Despite everything, he wants today to go well – for Leyla.
