The chemistry between EastEnders’ Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) and Teddy Mitchell (Roland Manookian) has been bubbling away for a couple of months now.
Despite this, any potential romance has failed to launch, with various obstacles getting in their way.
However, that is all set to change next week, when passion finally ignites between the pair.
In true Sharon and Teddy fashion, though, things don’t initially run to plan when Sharon invited Teddy over to No. 43 for a date night.
The evening turns out to be a disaster and Sharon asks him to leave, making Teddy believe he’s blown his chances with her.
Later, however, Sharon appears to have a change of hear and invites him back to hers.
Needless to say, Teddy’s ex Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington) is left seething when she learns of their liaison.
Nicola has been determined to try and win back get ex-husband since arriving in Walford earlier this month.
And actress Laura Doddington has teased this will see Nicola continue to clash with Sharon.
She said: ‘Nicola is not a woman’s woman, and she’s just not interested in women, not interested in female friendships, not interested in that support network.
‘Once she finds out that Sharon and Teddy have a flirtation, she sees Sharon as an obstacle to overcome and starts thinking how to scupper things between them.’
