Shock Return Confirmed? EastEnders Viewers ‘Solve’ Which Mitchell Is Backing Nicola!

A new theory could suggest a character is returning to EastEnders, and possibly in cahoots with troublemaker Nicola Mitchell.

But the person in question, another Mitchell, is no stranger to drama and danger herself. Fans are “convinced” the character will head back to Walford after an abrupt exit last year.

Not only that, but they believe it will be revealed that the character has been working with Nicola on some dodgy dealings behind the scenes, amid her k.i.l.l.e.r confession. Fans are questioning if the long-awaited return of Sam Mitchell is on the cards.

She’d been expected by fans to return for the 40th anniversary episodes like her brother Grant Mitchell, with actor Ross Kemp briefly reprising his role. Their sibling Phil Mitchell suffered a mental health crisis, and fans hoped to see Sam back for the scenes.

She left Walford quite abruptly after outing Phil Mitchell for cheating on Kat Slater, burning bridges with her brother. She’s not been back since, while Phil might want her to steer clear after the betrayal and the fact she stole money from him before fleeing.

But could now be her time to return, for Phil but also because of Nicola? Nicola is juggling all kinds of criminal behaviour, with drug dealing and dodgy goings on at the club, where Sam used to work, as well as her confessing to k.i.l.l.i.n.g Shireen in a recent episode.

Off the back of this, one viewer shared a new theory that Nicola has an accomplice we do not know about. They think, and other fans agreed with them, that Sam may secretly be working with Nicola and that the pair are up to no good.

The theory read: “I’m convinced more then ever that Nicola is working with Sam Mitchell. Not just because she goes out with Zack, owns formally Peggy’s and is involved in drugs like she was but also bringing Sam back would be perfect for Phil’s recovery too.”

It comes after Nicola met with her mystery accomplice Benji this week, where it soon emerged she caused the d.e.a.t.h of Shireen. By the sounds of it she or Benji k.i.l.l.e.d her, but it was definitely Nicola’s decision.

We don’t know what happened yet and what led to the murder. But the body is buried on a currently disused estate, which happens to be the chosen location for Teddy Mitchell and Junior Knight’s new business project.

So is Nicola’s big secret about to implode? Fans certainly think so as others worried Nicola would try to silence the men if the body was found.

It’s clear there is still so much to find out about Nicola with her no doubt hiding much more.
