Sinister John m.u.r.de.r plot as Emmerdale character ‘needs put out of his misery’
John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) is struggling to keep hold of all his lies in Emmerdale.
One of them was discovered by Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) and Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) earlier this week, and it involved John’s old lover Aidan Moore.
He had previously told everyone that Aidan d.i.e.d while in the army, but a conversation with John’s old mate Connor saw Vic learn that Aidan is actually in a coma.
When confronted, John told Vic that he felt it was easier to tell himself that Aidan is d.e.a.d, rather than accept the reality – his brain has been starved of oxygen and is now in a vegetative state.
Vic, clearly enjoying having another Sugden around, believed everything John had to say and respected his request for her to not tell Aaron (Danny Miller).
Unfortunately though, Mackenzie got there before Vic even debated changing her mind, after meeting Connor himself.
The revelation left Aaron angry and confused, as he wondered whether he even wanted to be with John anymore. The couple attempted to talk in tonight’s episode, but John was taken aback when Aaron said he doesn’t even know the person he wants to marry.
Frustrated, John left and visited Aidan in hospital. He spoke about how much easier his life would be if Aidan was d.e.a.d, but just as it looked as though he was going to do something, John turned his attention to Mackenzie.
John told an unconscious Aidan that he needs to deal with Mack first, who apparently needs putting out of ‘his misery’.
The complex character made it clear that he needs to teach Mackenzie a lesson, because he’s pushed him too far.
But what exactly will John do?
