EastEnders’ Teddy Mitchell (Roland Manookian) kept a huge secret from k.i.l.l.e.r Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddigton) as they officially reunited on Wednesday.

The toxic exes were drawn back together earlier this week following his recent break up with Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean).

However, fans of the BBC soap also discovered that Nicola k.i.l.l.e.d their son Harry’s (Elijah Holloway) ‘missing’ girlfriend Shireen.

With Teddy in the dark about this, Nicola desperately tried to talk him out of doing a business deal in Dartford, where the family used to live, worried it could lead him to her murderous secret.

While he seemed to back down, on Wednesday, Teddy walked back on the agreement.

After he and Nicola discussed their reunion, she suggested there would be ‘no more secrets or surprises’.

But just moments later, he was seen calling Junior Knight (Micah Balfour) to confirm he wanted to go ahead with the deal and would be keeping it a secret from Nicola.

However, it will spell big trouble for her, as it turns out Paradise Park – the industrial estate he is buying – is the exact spot where Shireen’s body is buried.

That is not the only ticking timebomb currently under the Mitchell family though, as Nicola is also hiding the fact that Zack Hudson (James Farrar) is Barney Mitchell’s (Lewis Bridgeman) biological father.

Actress Laura Doddington, who plays Nicola, said her character will be ‘pushed to the edge’ in the coming weeks.

‘She’s tested on how far love, manipulation, and lying can get her,’ she said.

‘One thing I’ve discovered playing the character recently is that carrying these secrets around and watching her son suffer as a consequence has been harder on her than she ever thought.’

EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One or stream first from 6am on iPlayer.
