Tracy Shankley (Amy Walsh) made quite the discovery about Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) in tonight’s episode of Emmerdale.

Tracy has been struggling to get by ever since Nate disappeared last year. She believes that he departed the village for a new life in Shetland and no longer wants anything to do with his family – including his young daughter Frankie.

In reality, we know that John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) killed Nate and disposed of his body in the lake.

Amid the anger she feels towards Nate, Tracy is most certainly wondering why he completely cut ties with everyone in the Dales.

After Tracy expressed her opinion to Nate’s dad Cain (Jeff Hordley), he decided to try and help. He rang Nate’s phone and left a message, which was then listened to by John.

While the family wait for answers, Tracy is still living as a single mum on a very small wage. In tonight’s episode, she opened up to John about her struggles, and he started to feel guilty.

He handed Vic (Isabel Hodgins) some money and encouraged her to spend time with Tracy. That afternoon, Vic listened as Tracy spoke about how any cash she earns has to go towards looking after Frankie.

Just as Vic left, Tracy filed through the post she had picked up earlier that day. One of the letters in the pile was addressed to Nate.

Intrigued, Tracy opened it, and was taken aback to discover a credit card stuck on the paper.

With Tracy under the impression Nate is still alive, if she uses the credit card, she’ll be racking up a debt without him even really realising.

But what if it was organised by John? And if Tracy uses the card too much, how will he manage paying it off?
