Tracy Robinson in Emmerdale is not known for being the sharpest tool in the box. But she is about to make a mistake that could cost her big – and see her accused of m.u.r.d.e.r.
Currently struggling after Nate abandoned her and their daughter Frankie, Tracy has resorted to desperate measures to make ends meet. And now she’s eyeing up Nate’s credit card.
Apart from the obvious fraud and theft legalities, fans fear this could actually spell even worse trouble for Trace. Namely, that she’ll be accused of Nate’s m.u.r.d.e.r.
Tracy at rock bottom in Emmerdale
Ever since Nate left, Tracy has not heard a word from him, apart from a single text saying he’d arrived and not to contact him. He has cut her and their daughter Frankie off completely. Tracy has been left without a penny.
Her job in Eric’s shop has not been enough to make ends meet and back in February it was revealed she had been stealing from the till. Eric found out last month and immediately fired Tracy. Although he had a rethink and gave her her job back. She borrowed money from Vanessa to pay him back.
However it hasn’t helped her financial situation. She is still finding it near-impossible to put food on the table and clothe their daughter.
So, instead of going down the official channels and tracking Nate down via the CMA (Child Maintenance Agency) Tracy has chosen to whinge about it.
But now she’s discovered Nate has been sent a new credit card. While for some that might set alarm bells ringing that he hasn’t changed his address and even his bank don’t know where to find him, not for Tracy. She has spied an opportunity and she’s going to run with it.
Tracy to be accused of Nate’s muder?
Will using the credit card prove her most costly mistake yet? Some fans certainly seem to think so.
“Maybe it’s a new storyline arc, if Tracy thinks she can use Nate’s name to get credit to her address to ‘help’, but when it finally comes out that he’s been d.e.a.d for many many months it could make thing even worse for her. It may even look suspicious as to whodunnit,” shared one viewer on social media.
Another was also worried about Tracy using the card: “Ok so Tracy‘s gonna spend big on Nate’s card,” they said followed by worried face emojis.
“Oh no! Tracy is eyeing up Nate’s new credit card,” added another. Someone else then replied: “And when he’s inevitably found they’ll put her in jail for six months for his m.u.r.d.e.r before everyone finds out that John is the k.i.l.l.e.r!”
With no other way to make ends meet and John pulling all the strings, Tracy might just find herself in a whole world of trouble. Let’s hope Nate is found – and quick.
