Two Emmerdale legends fear prison after committing shocking crime
Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) and Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) have been left fearing for their futures after being involved in a violent confrontation with Anthony Fox (Nicholas Day) in Emmerdale.
In recent weeks, Nicola and Laurel have spent time with Anthony after asking him to help with tutoring Angelica (Rebecca Bakes) and Arthur (Alfie Clarke). They were grateful for his help, but remained unaware of his true, sinister nature.
Caleb Miligan (William Ash) and Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) learnt last week that Anthony s.e.x.u.a.l.l.y abused Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) when she was a child.
In tonight’s episode, still reeling from the discovery, Chas felt compelled to take action when she heard Nicola mentioning Anthony while in the café.
When Nicola said that Anthony was alone with Angelica doing some school work, Chas quietly pointed out that it needed to stop immediately. She didn’t completely go into detail, but told Nicola that Anthony shouldn’t be on his own with young people.
Noticing the fear in Chas’ eyes, Nicola raced home.
There, she quickly sent Angelica away and confronted Anthony. Unsurprisingly, Anthony denied the accusations, but when Nicola got her phone out and threatened to contact Ruby, the man unleashed his desperation and anger.
Anthony grabbed Nicola and tried to gain access to the phone. The scuffle stopped suddenly, however, due to Anthony being attacked by Laurel.
She hit Anthony over the head with a candlestick. It knocked him out for a brief period, but he then woke up.
As he left the house, Anthony threatened to call the police and sue Laurel and Nicola for defamation if they continue spreading ‘vile lies’ about him.
Outside, while Anthony hid behind a car, he listened in on a paranoid Laurel and Nicola talk about the prospect of going to prison.
They both agreed Anthony wouldn’t last long in the village once Caleb and Cain (Jeff Hordley) learnt the truth, and realised it would simply be a case of playing the waiting game to see if the police come knocking.
What Laurel and Nicola don’t know at the moment is that Anthony will be dead come the end of the week, making them both prime suspects.
But are either of them really capable of k.i.l.l.i.n.g a man?
