Tyler Perry’s Divorced Sistas | Does This New Spinoff Mean Sistas Is Coming To An End?
Is “Sisters” Ending Soon? Here’s What We Might Expect
Since the announcement of Divorce Sisters, one of the biggest questions I’ve seen pop up is: Does this mean that Sisters is coming to an end? Now, while I can’t say for certain, there are a few things to consider. Personally, I wouldn’t be upset if it ends after Season 10, but I also wouldn’t be surprised if Sisters continues past that. It’s a bit optimistic, but the show might have more life left in it.
Let’s talk about Divorce Sisters—this spin-off doesn’t necessarily signal the end of Sisters. The way I see it, the show could go beyond Season 10. We know that Season 9 wasn’t filmed until after Season 8 had ended, and there’s been a bit of a delay with the releases. With Sisters’ recent fast-paced schedule, it seems like BET might slow things down a bit, which could lead to longer breaks between episodes.
If I had to guess, Season 9 will air in two halves—Sisters Season 9A could run from July to September, and then 9B could air from January to March 2026. After that, the first half of Season 10 might air in late summer 2026, with the second half finishing up in spring 2027. If this is the case, Sisters could technically run until 2027, making it a solid 10-season run.
Even if Season 10 turns out to be the last, Sisters would have a pretty respectable legacy. And who knows? Zatima could still be running alongside Divorce Sisters while the show reaches its conclusion. So, no, Sisters doesn’t necessarily die with Divorce Sisters—at least not immediately.
But what about the final season? Could it boost ratings if they market it as the end of the series? Absolutely. Just like The Big Bang Theory made waves in its final season, Sisters could benefit from that “last chance” hype. It would draw people back, even those who haven’t watched in years.
Now, I really hope they don’t end it with a “have and have nots” situation—everyone just dying for no reason. The Oval doesn’t need to last beyond its current season, but that’s a whole different conversation.
If Season 10 really is the end, it doesn’t mean the cast won’t be busy. Tyler Perry often films things years in advance, like when the Haves and the Have Nots finale aired but was filmed two or three years earlier. For Sisters, this means the final season could already be filmed, leaving time for actors to take on other projects.
Looking at Sisters from a bigger perspective, it’s had a great run, just like The Big Bang Theory with its 12 seasons. Even if the main show ends, there are spin-offs, including Zatima and Divorce Sisters. And as Tyler Perry has shown, he’s not afraid to bring back fan-favorite characters from one show and plug them into another, like with Preston on Zatima.
So, whether Sisters ends at Season 10 or not, the story isn’t over—there’s more to come. But what do you think? Will Sisters really end, or do you think there’s more to come? Let me know in the comments! Like and subscribe for more updates, and I’ll catch you in the next video.
