Tyler Perry’s House of Payne | Sneak Peek: Curtis Has Some Choice Words For Laura’s Mother
“This Lord is a bummer!”
You know, your daughter has a stank attitude, Curtis.
Ella: Excuse you, don’t be rude.
I can only be who God called me to be.
Ella: Curtis, don’t bring God into this.
I’m His miss child too.
Ella: No, it’s fine, let him be all of who God called him to be.
Elaine: Thank you. So, tell me about my daughter’s stank attitude.
Okay, folks, let’s talk about the sneak peek — and even though we only got one clip, it’s enough to get us talking. Curtis is about to confront Elaine (aka Laura’s mom), and it looks like he’s about to go off on her about her daughter’s “stank attitude.”
Now, the reason I’m doing this video is that the clip doesn’t give us much, but based on what we see, it looks like Ella and Elaine have probably come to some kind of understanding. We see them casually sitting down and talking, so they’ve probably had a moment to clear the air.
Remember, in my previous video, I theorized that maybe Jasmine unknowingly recorded the confrontation between Laura and Ella. If you recall, Jasmine had her camera set up and ready to go when Laura walked through the door in the last episode.
So, it’s possible that Jasmine has video proof showing that Ella didn’t exactly tell Laura to “get her narrow ass up out of her house,” as Miss Ella was accused of. That could explain why Ella and Elaine are no longer clashing swords. They’ve probably seen the video and realized there’s a misunderstanding.
This might explain why they’re now sitting down to talk it out. After all, this is their first time really meeting each other, so it makes sense to try and clear the air.
But, of course, Curtis walks in, ready to call out Laura’s attitude, and it all goes south again.
You can tell by Ella’s reaction — “Curtis, no, no, no, don’t do that!” — that she doesn’t want things to escalate again. And Curtis just retorts with, “I’m just acting the way God made me to act.”
Ella’s response: “Don’t bring God into this.” Then Elaine, standing up, challenges him:
“Well, go ahead and tell me about my daughter’s stank attitude. Be as much of the man God made you to be as you want.”
The way Elaine says this, along with Curtis’s facial expression, gives me the feeling that things between Ella and Elaine are cool now — they’ve reached some kind of understanding.
Now, as for what really went down, we’re not sure. But as I mentioned earlier, Jasmine and Janine were right by the door when Elaine was invited in. They probably backed up Ella, confirming that the situation didn’t unfold the way Laura said it did.
They might have said something like, “Hey, we were all here — Curtis, Ella, N, Jasmine, Lisa, Miranda, and the rest of us. We know that’s not how it went down.” So, regardless of what Laura told Elaine, the truth is coming out.
This is definitely an interesting first impression between the families. It’s one of those situations where things could go either way, and I’m here for the drama!
Anyway, that’s all I have to say for now. The episode airs in less than an hour, and you can expect my full review tomorrow.
