Tyler Perry's Zatima & Sistas

Tyler Perry’s Sistas | Did Hayden Stab Gary?

Based on next week’s promo, it does seem like Hayden was the one who stabbed Gary. However, this contradicts what Gary told Agent Watt—that a woman was responsible.

That said, considering Gary’s memory is like a puzzle with missing pieces, it’s possible that he misremembered. But honestly, if I had a dollar for every time I said this on my channel: I’m tired of this storyline.

It’s clear the writers are dragging this all the way to episode 22. In fact, I hate to say this, but given how the show was already filmed last year, my guess is they’ll stretch this mystery into the next season as well. We probably still won’t know for sure who did it, or they’ll reveal it as a last-second cliffhanger. Are we really going to drag this out again?

Now, when Tam says, “I saw you, Hayden,” what exactly did she see? Did she witness him stabbing Gary? Or just see him at the venue? We need clarity.

This reminds me of The CW’s The Flash—specifically, Season 3 with the Savitar mystery. Fans speculated for months, and when the reveal finally came (that it was Barry Allen, the future Flash), it felt dragged out to the point where people just stopped caring.

The synopsis mentions that Hayden is “compelled to take a case because of his hidden truth.” This suggests he’s helping Gary regain power of attorney. But is he genuinely helping, or is he manipulating the situation to finish what he started?

If you go back to the Season 7 finale, Hayden took so many L’s that it almost seemed like overkill. Andy took the Marie case right from under him, his attempt to expose her affair backfired, and then she rubbed it in his face that she was becoming managing partner. Then, he discovered his girl was cheating on him with his so-called best friend.

After all that, he calls Gary, pretending everything is fine, even inviting him to the wedding—while in tears. It was painfully obvious that Hayden wasn’t the stabber. It would have been too predictable.

Then, Season 8, Episode 1 starts with Hayden watching a news report about the investigation and packing to skip town. That’s when Tamra shows up. And suddenly, instead of leaving, they hook up, and he goes to work like everything is normal.

If he really was the stabber and planned to flee, why did he stay? Was he afraid Tamra would turn him in? Did she convince him otherwise? Maybe. But his behavior makes no sense.

If it turns out that Hayden was the stabber, I’ll be pissed. The season finale made it too obvious. Why drag this mystery out if the answer was that predictable?

However, if Tam saw him, then that hospital scene where she overheard the doctor talking about Gary’s memory—and laughed before leaving—suddenly makes sense. In the next episode promo, she even asks, “Hayden, you’re not going to see Gary, are you?” Well, he’s already been to the hospital once or twice. He did try to smother Gary before he woke up.

Honestly, I keep thinking about what Crystal said when the Sistas cast was on The Sherri Show. She mentioned that when she got the script, she was shocked because the stabber was someone no one expected. If that’s true, then it can’t be Hayden. Everyone has suspected him from the start.

Could this have been a team effort? Maybe Gary remembers seeing Tamra but not Hayden. At this point, I’m done speculating. Let me know your thoughts in the comments.

Also, quick note—someone asked why Hayden would take Gary’s case when it could be a conflict of interest. Wouldn’t Robin fire him since he’s working Andy’s caseload? Maybe. But if that’s a fireable offense, then why wasn’t Andy fired for slapping the firm’s owner in the face?

That’s all I’m saying.
