Tyler Perry's Zatima & Sistas

Tyler Perry’s Sistas | Is Gary REALLY Going To Payoff Erica’s Student Loans?

It seems highly unlikely that Erica’s student loans will be paid off by Gary. In the promo for next week, Gary makes it clear that he expects something more than just the retrieval of his belongings.

He’s seen sitting back in bed, looking satisfied, as if he’s already made it known what Erica has to do. The big question is—will someone interrupt his one-on-one session with the nurse? I don’t need to go into details; if you’ve seen the thumbnail for this video, you already know what Gary is insinuating.

Speaking of the nurse, I have to admit, I was a bit distracted by her. Not in the way you might think—but by her dimples. Just adorable. But back to the point—why did she release Gary from his restraints so easily? If they were too tight, slightly loosening them makes sense. But completely releasing him? That’s a whole different level of recklessness.

Wouldn’t a trained nurse question why a patient was in restraints in the first place? Shouldn’t she have checked with a doctor before deciding to let him loose? It’s like a police officer walking past a prison cell and unlocking it just because the inmate says they feel claustrophobic. Ridiculous, right?

Now, let’s get back to Erica. From what we’ve seen, Gary expects her to do something sexual in exchange for clearing her student loans. But here’s the real question—does he even have access to that kind of money right now?

First, Hudson is his power of attorney, which means Gary can’t make any major financial moves without his approval. Second, wasn’t his money tied up in a federal investigation at the beginning of Season 7? That’s why he couldn’t give Zach the money back and ended up getting punched in the face. So, how is he suddenly able to pay off Erica’s student debt, which is likely around $80,000 to over $100,000?

It’s likely that Gary is just stringing Erica along. He might promise to pay off the loans but keep asking for more favors in return, leading her on indefinitely. Or maybe, once he does get access to his money, he will actually pay the debt—but that doesn’t mean he’ll be done with her. Gary has a history of manipulating people for his benefit.

Interestingly, this situation is a callback to Season 1 when Fatima mentioned that Gary once offered to pay off her student loans. That moment now takes on new significance, given the current storyline.

So, what do you think? Will Erica actually get her student loans paid off? Or is she just another pawn in Gary’s twisted game, completely unaware of what she’s gotten herself into?
